Bloggers! I Need Help! Need An Automatic MP3 Player Plug-In

Hey, bloggers!

I'm looking for a plug-in that will automatically add an audio player to any mp3s that I link to in a blog post on my WP blog.

The way that the mp3 link displays right now is this :[audio http://somesite.com/l/gmpvwotw14tp.mp3 ]

Instead of it posting like that, I want my blog to automatically convert that to an audio button to play the mp3.

Instead of it looking like this -> It would be really... | ComicHacks.com - Tips, tricks, and resources for comic books!

I want it to look like this -> Hunter's Haven: Though I'm not really...

Got any suggestions?

I'd really appreciate the help!

Thanks!

P.S. By the way, you REALLY need to check out Dial2Do - Home. That's what I'm using to do all of this.

    Followup:

In your plugin folder make sure you do this:
    1) upload the Audio Player folder
    2) place the audio player PHP file in the PLUGIN folder NOT IN THE audio player folder.

The site you pointed to uses the same player that I gave you a link for.

So do I take the audio player PHP file out of the audio player folder and upload it in to the plug-in folder, then upload the audio player folder without the audio player PHP file?

Does that make sense? I hope so...

Did it. It's not doing exactly what I want it to do though.

    Hmmm...

Chris - did you go into "options" on WP and then setup the widget to include your MP3 at the end of your posts? This feature that you want IS in the plugin, but you need to activate it.

Play around and check out the plugin creator's website for help. It is awesome.

        Chris,

Actually, it did make the mp3 link into an audio player at the end of the post, but it didn't do anything about the link at the beginning of the post, so I had to delete that and save the post.

You can see what I did here - It would be really... | ComicHacks.com - Tips, tricks, and resources for comic books!

Any ideas on how to make it convert the link at the beginning of the post for me?

        Thanks!

I'm looking at your post and everything seems fine. I'm unclear about the link at the beginning of your post? What link? I see nothing. I see headline, one paragraph, then "powered by", a logo, and the flash player.

    What exactly is wrong?

When I made the post initially, it had this at the beginning of the blog post:

      [audio http://somesite.com/l/gmpvwotw14tp.mp3 ]

Once I added the plug-in you mentioned, it didn't convert that link into an audio player for me, so I just deleted that code so that I wouldn't have this funky looking code at the beginning of the post.

      Does that make sense?

Guess I should have left the code to not cause any confusion.

Chris: I believe the format to use the plugin is simply [audo:filename.mp3]
If you have the location elsewhere I believe there is a protocol for this as well .. can't remember offhand, but all you need to do is modify the [audio...] text that you are using to comply with the needs of this plugin.

    Does that make sense?

That makes sense, I was just hoping for a plug-in that would make the change for me automatically because the mp3 file is hosted off-site.

Meaning, if I continue to use Dial2Do for making short blog posts, I'll have to eventually edit the post to remove the coding from the beginning of the post, which is a little hassle to deal with.

      We'll see.

And I want to thank you for your help in this matter. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to share them with me!

      Thanks!

You could maybe hire somebody to write you a script that would change the [audio] format for you automatically to comply with what is needed for the plugin? I have no idea how to do it but some bright PHP programmer should be able to figure this out. Try elance? Maybe you'll find an easy solution for a small fee?

Now I understand ... you can't control the code snippet that goes into your post. Got it.
