Clickbank or E-Junkie?

Hi Warriors,

This has probably been done a thousand times before but why not one more for the road and for the rest of us currently considering the two. Clickbank has more publishers but some people say they dont have the best t & c when it comes to selling products (60 day refund policy etc). Personally I am leaning towards E-Junkie.

Antony.

I would always go for Clickbank just because of the affiliates

I would use Clickbank simply for the number of products they offer.

Clickbank is better, because they have more affiliates and incredible products in each category...

Anthony, what is your purpose of using either service?

If you are going for a high number of affiliates Clickbank is your preferred choice.

If you are going to only promote the product yourself, and need an avenue to collect payment, then E-Junkie probably makes more sense.

      Hi Barry,

Im mostly thinking of whats best in terms of affiliates but considering I will be promoting it anyway, I can always get affiliates to sign up with e-junkie to promote the book. However having said that, is it possible to use e-junkie to deliver the product and have affiliates sign up with clickbank?

I prefer clickbank as an affiliate and I would as a vendor as well.

Vendor (I used to work for a clickbank vendor or two):

    1. Very easy to use and get setup. There is minimal hassle in getting your product setup.

    2. Tons of affiliates there

    As an affiliate

    1. Huge choice of products.

    2. Easy to navigate and find products to promote.

    3. Sites like cbengine.com give me some great stats and insights into what is working on clickbank right now.

From a product creator's point of view, there are important differences between the two services.

Granted, CB has access to a lot more affiliates, but your product is just going to be one amongst thousands - you're still going to have to promote it yourself to have any chance of success.

Where CB scores is in the affiliate management. They effectively buy your product from you and take on the responsibility of paying all your affiliates. Depending on how much control you want, that could be seen as a real advantage.

On the other hand, with EJ, you'll have to arrange to pay your affiliates yourself (via PayPal Masspay) but you'll have the facility to ban specific affiliates or raise the percentage commission as an incentive for the better performing affiliates.

    You pays your money...

But whichever service you choose, you won't be able to just rely on them to provide an army of willing affiliates simply by submitting your product - you'll need to have some other promotion method(s) in place.

      Hi,

Thanks for your reply Frank. Thats entirely correct, im not actually thinking from the point of view of allowing CB or EJ to promote the product for me since I will do that myself via all of the standard means, article/video marketing, advertising, partnering and of course getting in touch with all of the authority websites, forums and stores that are relevant to my product.

Rather, im curious as to who is the most reliable and useful company when it comes to just being able to store and sell your product through your website, as well controlling affiliates/creatives etc?

Yeah. I was really responding to some of the replies upthread that seemed to suggest CB would give you instant access to all these keen affiliates.

Okay, here's my view on that: If you don't want to manage/control your affiliates, use CB.

If you just want a company to store and sell your product while allowing you to control your affiliates, use EJ.

Thanks Frank, thats about as clear as it gets. Based on this information I shall be going with E-Junkie.

Sorry for the late response. Yeah im looking at being a vendor, Neverblue is my network of choice at the moment for affiliate products; but I was mostly considering which of the two (cb or ej) to choose when it comes to selling my ebooks.

              Regards,
              Antony.

I will go for Clickbank. And by the way Ejunkie is not like clickbank it's an third party payment processor.

Clickbank has a better reputation, and that alone is enough to make me want to use them imo. I mean, you hear all the time about how people are banking on clickbank, but you never hear success stories about ejunkie.
