Facebook page or Facebook app?

Looking at this from a perspective of selling your own work/product/service not an affiliate link or affiliates product.

I have been reading about the differences and I know that you can do a lot more stuff with a Facebook app more so then a Facebook page but which is better for creating a presences for your company?

I know an app has a lot of features but are those features beneficial to a company only looking to connect with its clients?

Which one will get better response?

Sorry guys I'm knew and have lots of questions about marketing

I go for Facebook fan page-- it attracts more clients or prospects. Of course, facebook apps are way better to attract individual, however sometimes problem may occur like the loading time of the apps--which is very annoying.

Just remember that there is no way to convert a fan page to an app at this stage (aka you cannot move the wall) but if you don't have any integration planned you will have an easier time with a fan page.

I have a fan page setup already and I have some likes from the people on my personal facebook account. I have some experience wit fbml and I have setup some simple apps for clients of mine so setting an app page wouldn't be hard I was just curious of whether there was any real benefits to a company just trying to connect with clients and potential clients. I was thinking an app would be a big waste of power and it seems like you guys agree in a way. Thanks for all the help warrior really is the best place. I am really going to enjoy this place

I agree. I would still go for a Facebook page for better interaction and connection. Nothing beats old school approach when it comes to FB.
