Do you have any good information for someone starting off

Hey Fellow Warriors,

I am a newbie to the forum and internet marketing. I have tried IM on several occasions and have been unsuccessful in trying. I have built up a savings to invest and want to try it again. After reviewing some threads on here and the success that alot of you have had I am now a true believer that it can work. My question is can someone help me or point me in the direction to get started. I would love a mentor but know time is money and not many will be up for that challenge so any advice, strategies, or direction you have for a newbie like myself im all ears. PM ME or hit me up on chat im always on in the evenings...

Thanks WARRIORS

    gmoney,

A word of advice... fail faster!

Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.”
    Wayne Dyer

Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently."
    Henry Ford

The secret to IM is that there is NO SECRET, just hard work. If you have been buying "systems" I would say it's time to stop. Other people's systems fail because it's not the right opportunity for YOU. You have to follow what you enjoy and make something that's unique to you.

Learn marketing... learn sales. Learn what motivates people to buy. Learn how to find DEMAND... not stuff to sell. When you find a demand, learn how to put yourself in its path so that the hungry crowd has to walk past you.

These are the things that are rarely being taught. Everyone wants a system. Systems don't work because as soon as a variable changes... YOU'VE GOT A BROKE A$$ SYSTEM. Just ask all of the auto-bloggers who got nailed by Google in May.

    Learn SALES & MARKETING!

    =)

    Hi gmoney38,

All it takes is $37 to join the War Room. It's a solid investment, and there is tons of good stuff in there.

    Basic strategy:

Every week, build two blogs with AdSense and affiliate links and drive some initial traffic to them.

Every month, look at all your blogs that are over a month old.

Sell half of them. Which half is up to you. I'd sell the ones making the least money.

After about six months, you'll be building eight blogs a month and selling eight blogs a month. You'll have a consistent collection of 16 blogs earning AdSense and affiliate income, plus eight site sales a month, and your income should be over $3k monthly.

      CDarklock,

Do you have some more information on your strategy? WSO, blog posts, articles?

Have you done / are you doing this?

      Thanks,

      Joe

This is basically Trevor Sommerville's Website Flopping strategy, and while I'm not doing it myself (it doesn't match my temperament, as mentioned earlier - it's very methodical and focused, and I'm really not much of either), it's working very well for many other people.

I have no affiliation with Trevor and no financial interest in his site. He started this system on the Warrior Forum last year as a thread in the main forum, which I believe turned into a report in the War Room (it was before I was a member), then into a WSO. I've watched the evolution of his strategy with great interest, and was one of his earlier customers. I'm still on his list.

EDIT: Just had a look at his sales page, and noticed that he's got my review prominently featured in his sales copy... but I honestly didn't know that when I posted the link. Apparently he values my opinion.

          Here's what I was told:

          1. Stick with the winners - the best CB products, outsourced services, gurus.
          2. Give 100% focus to one thing and stop doubting whether it will work
          3. Stop studying - just do it
          4. Have big goals for the long term AND have realistic expectations for this week
I keep reminding myself of these, esp #1 when I debate things like whether to spend $37 to join the Warrior Forum...I did, BTW.

          Cheers!

A lot of good advice here.

I say this: Master Sales and Copywriting or at the very least, get good at being able to make offers and understanding WHY people buy stuff, do things, click on links...etc.

In fact, that should be your #1 priority.

After that, Business Building. Learn how to manage, outsource, grow your capital, etc.

Even if you don't plan on running a large business, this vital skill will help you grow and keep track of the money you do earn - which means better management, which means less financial stress!

    Hi,

I am a newbie myself and still on the learning process. Most importantly to never give up in the Internet Marketing and never stop learning to improve. This is what I learn thru process of learning:

    1) Internet Marketing is hardwork but it pays long term.
    2) Leads generation is number one importance.
    3) Find your niche and the system that can cater to your niche.

I agree with David Bynon advise that ----Other people's systems fail because it's not the right opportunity for YOU. You have to follow what you enjoy and make something that's unique to you.

All the best to you!! Cheers!!

Many people on here have given some really good advice. But some of what they are saying is not that easy. One cannot just master sales and copywriting. That is a skill that takes years to hone and I am guessing people are not willing to put in the time to do just that.

What I suggest is that you pay for a coach to teach you how to setup a good system. Then you will learn many valuable things....for example... you should always outsource your copywriting if you are not good at it. As a matter of fact, outsource everything you are not good at or do not enjoy. Internet Marketing is not as tough as some people make it out to be. You just have to be pointed in the right direction or you will waste a lot of time and money. A successful coach will get you there.

I like Cdarklock 's method. Very methodical. Getting traffic has always been my bugaboo.

My advice, and some I need to follow myself, is to pick a method and stick with it. Find one that satisfy your lifestyle and just stick with it. Most people give up after just a few days or weeks because they are not millionaires yet.

Mine too. That, and being methodical. It's very easy for me to say "just do this every week," but I never seem to be able to do that myself. Most of the time I'm very, very good at explaining why it wasn't my fault.

The problem most people have in this business isn't figuring out what to do, but sitting down and doing it. I've known for many months now that what I need to do is release smaller products faster, but I am a stubborn pigheaded fool who keeps trying to make bigger products with higher prices anyway.

And to a large extent, this is because I like making big products. One of my goals for this year was the big physical product full of manuals and DVDs and workbooks that gets shipped to the customer's door and goes THUD on the porch... but I've now realised that isn't really going to get me where I want to go.

Similarly, I wanted a million views on a video and ten thousand people on my list... but, again, those aren't going to get me where I'm headed. And while I'd still like to do all of them, what I really need to concentrate on is trimming down my product cycle so I can release more products faster.

Which I haven't done yet, because I just haven't bothered. Nobody to blame but me. Which is kind of the drawback when you work for yourself... your boss is still usually an idiot.

There are many things you can do and sell online. Pick one that suits you and you have the time to work on it. Look for someone who already succeed in doing wad you are about to do and just repeat it. Create a system (somethin that run without you eg. automation software etc) and work on it.

The best secret i can give is being consistent in that particular thing you are doing. If you are producing products to sell, do that, if you are building niche sites, do that...PLRs to sell do that...main thing is to be consistent and refine your methods until you made it.

There is really not one good answer as to what will work to make your IM career a success. What works for one person may not be "the" thing for another person. For instance, some people love selling Clickbank products while others think they are horrible and only want to sell Amazon products. Everyone has their "thing".

The idea of failing faster is a good one because the more you try and fail, the closer you will get to finding the thing that works for you. I have tried a BUNCH of areas of IM over the last 2.5 years and some I now know to mark off my list completely.

That being said, don't jump around and look for the next shiny object because you will find yourself chasing your tail. Give things enough time to work. Set a schedule and stick with it. For instance, Christmas is coming so you might decide to target a certain niche, set up a site and put everything you have into that site until after Christmas. Then, you can assess how you did, whether you liked it, etc.

Hope that helps and good luck!

You say you have tried IM on several occasions and have been unsuccessful in trying...right?

What exactly DID you try, but more importantly, WHY?

    Answer this question.

What exactly do you want your IM efforts to manifest in one YEAR?

What does the result look like. I take exception to the "fail quickly" advice, you've done that haven't you?

You want to SUCCEED right? One of the best ways to accomplish anything is to PLAN it out, consider your strengths and weaknesses, start a life time learning program and stay motivated enough until you reach the goal...which brings us full circle...

What is the goal you want to achieve in the next year?

The answer to that question gives you the steps to get there...IF you think it through.

For someone starting out, check the type of business model you want to use to make money.

Here are some examples of business models which you can choose:
Online Business Blueprints - 5 Profitable Online Business Blueprints

Once you have your goal, work at it step by step.

If there is anything you don't understand, then ask in this forum or look it up online.

Keep on working on your business model until you've completed it.

The key here is not to be distracted from other things such as new product launches.

When you've finished setting up your business model, spend the rest of your time marketing the hell out of it.

However, use one marketing strategy at a time. Move onto the next marketing method only when you've made a decent effort with the first.

The biggest mistake newbies make is reading too much info. and not taking action. If you work towards a business model right at the start, you'll do better than 99% of the newbies.

    Pay attention.

Find out what people want and then give it to them... for a PRICE.

Find a product on CB that is selling like crazy. That means people are buying.

Learn where you can get reliable highly targeted traffic related to that product. Quality, not quantity.

Work on getting traffic, that's the most important because once you learn how to get thousands of people to an offer, you can do this with any industry separate from "make money online" - ie. watches, golf, sneakers, social media background, pictures, bowties, blankets, whatever.

    Hi gmoney38,
This is what works for me. List building and product creation.

5 Steps to build a solid business that make autopilot profits
Step 1: Create a free report on a niche
Step 2: Creating a squeeze page and thank you page
    Step 3: Product Creation
    Step 4: Salesletter Copywriting
Step 5: Build your list from scratch through Solo ads and adswaps

This is what I strongly believe in making passive income online.

You need to have a workable business system that works for you on autopilot.

A system that works 24/7 for you even if you went on a holiday.

Implement the 5 steps and you are on the right track.

Of course, this is what works for me.

You have the free agency to choose for yourself.

    Hope it helps,
