Here's another list of free press release sites: BigNews.biz is an On-line Press Release and World News Distribution Center

And it gives their page rank and Alexa rank and really good press release tips.

This was one of my favorite tips on that list, and using this I found out that one site I've been submitting client's press releases to apparently does NOT get its stories press releases indexed by google. Rats. I mean, only one site out of 20 that I submit to, but still.

2. Google News - Are most of the press releases that are published by the site picked up by Google news? To find out if a PR distribution site is getting their content indexed by Google news, go to Google News and do a search for "site:sitename.com". This will show all of the stories by that site that have been indexed by Google News. As an example, a search for all press releases for the free PR site BigNews.biz, would look like this "site:BigNews.biz"

But there were some other very good tips there as well.

George, you don't need anything particularly earth-shattering to write a press release about. Release of a new product...got a new website up and running...tie your current stuff in with the economy or some other current news....

2) Another post I ran across here said you were, like, one of the top 100 people on Twitter if I'm not mistaken.
