The Importance of Grabbing a Buyers Attention ASAP

Process of a potential buyer:

1.) The potential buyer thinks they might want something.

2.) The potential buyer searches for something.

3.) The potential buyer clicks on a blog or an article.

4.) The potential buyer usually clicks back ---- UNLESS......

You can grab their attention. The only way to make a sale out of a blog or an article is to really draw in someone. Just as important as the quality of the content in your articles and your blogs is the attention grabber in the beginning.

Think about this.
When you are searching for something and click on a web page and you get bored you just press the back button and go to the next site on the search engines index.

In order to get someone to actually do what you want from you is - to get their attention. Once you get their attention - their attention is yours to lose.

So many newbies have trouble when they are starting to blog and article market. It is not because your content is bad in most cases - it is because you are being to ordinary in your methods to grab the readers interest.

So many times in school just growing up in classes when you are learning how to write or even give speeches you are told how important your first sentence is. Well it is absolutely important because it is the first thing your potential buyer is going to read.

Isn't the whole point to make a potential buyer into a buyer?

To all of your success in marketing,

Wow this all seems so obvious, I do not know why I'm not doing this in my articles. Thank you for sharing!

      Shoot!!

I only opened this thread because it had the word "SEX" in the title.

      Now I feel cheated.

I am a bit confused. I understand wanting to draw their attention, but you grabbed attention with your post title, but did not discuss it in your post.

So people clicking over to read about a certain topic will feel cheated like Frank above. The attention grabbing title should hold true to what the article is about.

Yes, the sex in the headline was not talked about in the post... sorry about that. However, the reason for it was to show that you opened this thread because it said SEX in the headline. It grabbed your attention. So my point is made.

Just be careful you don't get known as "the boy who cried sex"...

    Jeffrey is bringin' Sexy back!

Nice post dude... now if I you can explain a way to focus on writing and submitting an article while having sex as per the headline, I'd be very, very, very impressed.

      Clark,

Obviously sex would be a hard thing to try to write an article about a keyword in the internet marketing niche which is what this thread would be in if it were posted in an article directory. I'm sure if I would have tried to post this thread to EZA they would deny it because the title is not answered in the article.

However, I was trying to make a point. How important it is to grab at your readers attention. The sex theory would work well in many niches - off the top of my head - weight loss, acne, wedding planning, getting ripped, and relationship type sites just to name a few. If you are able to work in something into the internet marketing niche more power to you.

Alright hope your a little impressed haha.

Oh, I comprehended your message and I'm fully aware that an attention grabbing headline and subsequent sub heads and paragraphs can make or break the sales message.

I'm just one of those human units with humour programmed in me so don't take it the wrong way, dude.

Yes, but you do need to follow up on what you promise in your headline.

As a newspaper reporter I could not agree more that you need to be attention grabbing from the get go. That's why they call the traditional story structure the inverted pyramid - the most important stuff goes on top and declines in order of importance throughout the story.

Yes you CAN use sex in the tittle and actually tie it into the subject.

The main reason to keep the promise in the headline, is credibility

Bait and switch, or promise and don't deliver is never a positive aspect of marketing.

The President Elect is finding this out the hard way.

Since the title bothers everyone so much I'll change it. Sorry about that.
