I have a personal Facebook account that I use for high school friends. I'm considering starting to learn how to use Facebook for making money with CPA offers. Would it be best if I open a second Facebook account for business purposes or is it best to use my current personal account?

Thanks Mark. I asked because I have heard that you can't have more than one account from the same IP address.

That's true! It's important not to confuse the surfer with multiple topics.

Indeed, Facebook is an important marketing tool. You should also create a fan page for this purpose. What niche have you chosen?

Send me a link to your fan page when you set it up :p maybe I'll join ...

        Listbuildingfornewbies,

Well I'm going to sign up for a CJ account in the next couple of days and then see what they have to offer. I will probably start out with email or zip submits.

This is all new to me and I'm trying to find and absorb as much info as I can.

Am I correct in saying that the Facebook fanpages are mainly there to drive traffic to a landing page, squeeze page, or bog?
Good Luck with your CJ account

You have hit the nail on the head :p Indeed, the Facebook fanpages serve as a tool for driving traffic to page owner's website.

Are you planning on setting up your own website?

            Listbuildingfornewbies,

More than likely I will set up a blog instead of a static site. I'm seeing how others are promoting CPA offers. I know some are using direct linking "not sure if this is possible on a fanpage".

From my experience the best platform for setting up a blog is Wordpress. You can use countless plugins for your specific needs and create an impressive personal blog for your CPA offers.

I would open a Facebook fan page for your CPA offers, because you want to specifically target a certain demographic and it'd be far easier to do that this way, as opposed to using your personal page. In addition that, personal pages have a limit of 5,000 friends, whereas Fan pages do not. The choice is clear, so definitely start up a new Fan page to promote your CPA offers.

      Paulie888,

so are you saying to just add a fanpage to my personal account for the CPA offers instead of opening a separate business account?

Yes, I agree. You should only add a fanpage to your personal account and send your facebook friends invitations to join your fanpage. In addition you can ask each facebook friend to invite his/her friends to join your fanpage.

Yup, that is exactly what you want to do! It doesn't make sense to risk your hard work and effort driving traffic to a site that could be closed down and banned because you violated Terms Of Service...

You can create a business page on your personal account. I just completed that stage over this past weekend. I will be tying it to my blog site, and versa visa...

You can populate your notes tab with informative articles, tie YouTube videos to your Fan Page... The Fan Page concept has really evolved!

Check out Jo Barnes Free Fan Page Template Fan Page, and sign up... She has a pretty good deal going on...

        Hope that helps you out!

use fanpage/groups, it's more cheaper than setup a blog.

If you don't have a site or blog then how would you make money with CPA offers from only your fanpage or group? Is there a way to direct link to a CPA offer from your fanpage or group?

I agree with paulie88 and recommend a Facebook page instead of using your personal profile. Here are some tips for increasing exposure to your Facebook page.
