How would YOU get a consistent 50 visitors a day?

50 visitors a day isn't much, but it's a solid start: enough to bring in some regular sales and start generating revenue to fund your nascent IM empire!

Say you had no list, no pre-existing product to market, no hefty Adwords budget: just a lead on a hot niche and a simple site (review/squeeze page/whatever floats your boat).

How would YOU get to 50 targeted visitors a day?

Well you have a number of choices.

First, though, do some proper research and create some good written content for the page. Bonus if you can create something as a free giveaway for the page.

Then;

Article marketing
Link building
SEO
Video marketing
Offline promotion pointing to your free product

It can be unpredictable, also depending on the niche... so I would suggest going for a little volume. Create a number of review pages, each targeting different keyphrases, maybe work in a number of niches, then you can try out a few different things and roll with the ones that work the best.

Of course this is a real overview. You could write pages on each of these topics. (well, I have actually but don't tell anyone...)

Easy. Assuming you DID the keyword research to verify that there is not too much competition and that there is enough traffic on that keyword, do this:

1) Make sure you have a blog attached to the site
2) Write a singe post every day of a couple hundred words. Make sure keyword is in headline and in post somewhere within first sentence.
3) Social bookmark each post with Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Propeller at socialmarker.com (speeds this process up).

You should rise to first page of Google shortly after doing this but only if you did your homework first to make sure it's possible for the keyword in question (otherwise still possible, takes longer)

You could easily get 50 UVs a day by posting 5-10 ads a day on CL.

But for long term traffic you need SERP. That means:

back links
Directory submissions
blog comments
forum posts
Social bookmarking

I think you need to really concentrate on getting yourself a list. No one ever seems to tell you how to do that, but I've found a way and I think it is brilliant.

My strategy is to find low competition long tail terms related to my primary term and build anchored links for these terms via things like article submission, Squidoo/Blinkweb/Synthasite/etc pages, directory submissions, social bookmarking and so forth. I'm not looking for traffic referral traffic from these sources but for them to help give my search engine placement a boost based on the keyword anchors I use.

Post 20 interesting videos on Youtube and wait for a few days. Before long you will start seeing a ton of traffic to your websites.

There are a few things to take care of in this process, but they are ridiculously easy to understand if you ask a professional.

Go ahead... Do this. While it wil take a bit of effort initially, it will largely pay off in the long run...

Great attitude!

Any of the main traffic methods mentions above will bring you close to 100 visitor depending on if you stick to it.

I've been making a solid income from free traffic since day one and you can't fault it. Of course paying for traffic is another option but as I said I haven't needed to so far

I would go with article marketing, PPC, making videos and posting them on youtube. Take MASSIVE action and most importantly, be CONSISTENT every single day.

As has been stated - article marketing alone can get you 50 visitors a day. The more research you put into getting the keywords for you articles, the better they will do in the article directories.

Try to write and submit an article per day, or a few articles per week if you are able. Within a few weeks you will start to see steady traffic.

I was sort of wondering what specifically people here had done to get to 50 visitors a day, but these are still great suggestions.

For me it was mainly article marketing with a smattering of other SEO activities. After posting about 100 articles to 4 sites I started to see about 50 visitors/day from search engine and referral traffic combined.

Knowing what I know now I have a suspicion I could have done it much more efficiently, which is why I was asking what other people did.
