A peanut seeking wisdom to create a facebook fan page

Im am looking for any info or assistance in setting up a face book fan page. I want to set up a page for our website but not real sure how to go about it or if it is even worth doing.

Any pointers?

    The process of setting up a facebook fan page is pretty simply.

    Are you asking how to do that?

    Or are you asking for some best practices on how to use your facebook fan page as part of your marketing mix?

    At the bottom of just about any fan page on FB you'll see a link asking if you'd like to create one for your own business. The process itself is as simple as setting up your own personal profile.

    Facebook business pages do allow you to make additional customizations but you'd have to find someone familiar with how to code those things in order to do that (I have no idea). I see a lot of major businesses adding contact forms, giveaways, etc.

    Otherwise, make sure you're contributing useful posts and info and not just links to your products. Consider occasionally offering special deals to your Facebook fans to show you appreciate them using that method for keeping in touch.

    I'm sure others have more to say on how to use the page.
