Creating backlinks with keyword 'comdom' ??

Hi i'm new here... been lurking around for awhile.

I got a question and was hoping somebody could give me some guidance

I'm trying to create backlinks to a little site i got running called condom-review.com

I have articles written of a non sexual nature ie. not porn and have posted them to many article sites, most have accepted. But when trying to buy backlinks many people say the keyword would "walking the thin line" with the services they use.

Could anybody please recommend a way to get more links to this site?

Many thanks

Dirty

Typo traffic has not really been worth it in my experience.

Typo'd title? Assuming you're aiming for correctly spelled keyword, I think article marketing is a good approach to backlinks. I wouldn't aim "short term" b/c you have a domain that could do really well. Look for health-related blogs that would let you do a 300-400 word article in exchange for contextual links in that article. Write about health benefits/etc. Slower, but IMO more effective than buying links for your KW (especially if they see it as dicey KW)

'Condom' would be wayy too competitive to rank in. Try something like 'Top condom as voted by women' or something longer tail.

Do like the viagra guys do. Post on foreign blogs with a message in their local language but your anchor text in english for your desired condom keyword.

Yeah that was a title typo should be 'Condom'! i'll keep on going with slowly adding articles to the DBs, i'm pretty new to this and it just seems like a real slow method.

Thanks I'll try the foreign forum posting idea see how that goes...

I think many of the usual backlink methods would work for your site:

Create some Web 2.0 sites and link to your site.
        Submit your site to directories.
Create RSS feed of your articles and submit it to RSS aggregators.
Post comments on sexual health-related blogs.
Create videos and post on Youtube.

As samjesop mentioned, try using long-tail keywords and brand names for anchor text.

Isn't that a bit 'chapeau noir'?

Check out Linkvana. The word condom may not violate their TOS and they are a great way to build backlinks.
