So I got a blog running,.... mmm what shall i do next?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello Warriors,

I have started my blog, very bare. I talked to a few people about internet marketing, they said, dont wait, just launch!! Well i did just that.

So, i was wondering, what can i possibly give my potential subscriber in exchange for their email? I mean, its clear that i am a newbie, and have no authority whatsoever.

Top of my head,.... a report on how to setup your self-hosting blog.

Any ideas of what else can i give in exchange? Appreciate it most.

Depending on what your blog covers that what your giveaway should be. E.g if you have an affiliate marketing blog, you should give out a free e-book on affiliate marketing or something along those lines. I try give them a whole lot of stuff to make it more worth it for them to leave there details.

Have a look at Master Resale Rights see if you can find anything that matches your blog.

Hi rikkib51, I was planning to make a personal blog about my journey in internet marketing, you know steps i did from zero to my first dollar.

Im working on another niche site concurrently, as a test project, and document it on my blog.

But on my blog itself, how do I capture email address? My guess it should be a newbie report. Am i right? Any idea on a topic for newbie IM bloggers?

OK, to build a mailing list you need:
- Know why & what make you have to build the list; make money from affiliate prog or CPA, clickbank...?
- Determine whether you niche is long term niche or you are not sustain in making money with the short short term niche.
- You need a squeeze page or opt-in form
- You need autoresponder sevice such as Aweber or Getrespond
- You need A Value report or product to give away to your subscribers for compansating their email (you can write a special report by yourself or hire ghostwriter or even get the PLR/MRR ones)
- You need to know how to do email marketing to your list
etc...

Make money from clickbank affiliate program I suppose.

If I give a report on how to build a list where its obvious that I dont even have a Big list,... wouldnt that be "hypocitical"? Or is it okay?

I have made some decent money using my three main blogs with Google AdSense. But here is a great method I have been using to make money online.

I purchased a digital product from the ClickBank marketplace and reviewed the product. Once I did this, I followed what I read to see if I would get the same results the writer did.

I did a short video teaching others what I learned and then made a recommendation to purchase the product at the end of the video. Of course, I only created a video for the products that actually worked for me.

Since these products did work for me, by watching and following the video, you will also benefit by seeing a dramatic increase in conversions.

Then I recommended this product through my own affiliate link. This way I could earn commissions on what others sold. The best way I found to do this was to purchase a meaningful and memorable domain name and redirect the domain to my affiliate link.
Then overlay that link in the video.

I usually post my videos on my blogs and send it to my mailing lists to make money. But if you don't have a list, then upload it to YouTube and everal other video sharing sites to make you commissions.

It's a great technique that's worked for me.

  I don't know exactly what your blog is about but I would start with something of value. Buying resell rights products or garbage like that is not going to work to get the opt in. You can easily set up some type of system that will entice people to subscribe to your blog.
  
  If I was you I would be looking at something towards this nature...
  
  If this is a work from home blog do something like exclusive tests revealed.
  
  Watch as I build my online empire. I will show exactly what I am doing and how I am doing it. You'll get inside access to the tests I have ran and what has worked and what has not worked.
  
  Something along those lines.
  
  You can easily entice someone to give you they are e-mail address by simply showing them what you are doing. Do not claim to be a guru or do not claim to be able to help make them hundreds of dollars. Simply tell them you're going to show them what is not working for you and what is working for you.
  
  There is no need to hype it up. People like that kind of stuff.

  How about creating a video or small report telling them what your business plan is and how you will execute it? You have to give them a reason to sign up to your list. They will want to know if following you will benefit them. Therefore, if they are noobs like you, you have to find a way to connect with their issues.
  
  This information is dependent on how you have structured your blog, i.e. what do you have on your blog already that you can expand on?
  
  Giving away something they can get elsewhere is OK, but to stand out you need to sell YOU!

  I say....
  
  Just be yourself and blog about whatever you want to write about. It's your name on the blog, so do what you want with it. Allow people to get to know you, create a free report on something you like, and just go with the flow. I just started my blog last week after two years of marketing and it's not just about marketing, it's about my life and I will post whatever I please. I think you should do the same!

A free e-book, newsletters, or new report on related niche. Anything free will gain you new subscribers and give them a reason to sign up. A good place to start with obtaining some good content for your blog is Elance.com or Guru.com, if your not going to provide your own content. If you have the means for about $200-$250 you can get about 50 articles wrote for $5 an article and have constant content on autodrip, where you have 5 new articles posted on your blog weekly. GREAT for constant traffic. New material = more viewers! And in the end this gives you more time to focus in on other traffic tactics to help drive targeted traffic to your blog instead of you living your life writing articles and not being able to have time to get traffic to your site..... the ULTIMATE goal!
