How Do I Get My Wordpress Blog To Look Like This?

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a Wordpress blog (www.IsometricExerciseSite.com) and want to add an affiliate offer and opt-in email box to the top right corner of the blog similar to the sites below:

1). Cloud Living: Freedom, Expression, and Financial Abundance - I like where he has the box that advertises the book "Cloud Living"

2). BuzzBlogger.com - I like the box that says "Free Traffic" that allows her to collect email addresses, and send them to an autoresponder program like MailChimp.

Does anyone know which WP plugins I need to use to accomplish either of these layouts?

Go to wordpress.org and search for themes with the word "wood". I see quite a few similar looking themes. Then go to "add widgets' and drag a text widget over to the active panel settings.
There you would place your autoresponder html code from mail chimp.

There is a free autoresponder plugin just do a search for it its easy to install

BuzzBlogger.com is not using a plugin to achieve the effect you see. Its a simple widget built into the theme and defined in the stylesheets - they have simply added their aweber autoresponder code to it.

You can achieve the same effects or similar by tweeking your own theme's css if you are confortable doing that.

yes, there is a plugin that will allow you to add any text, or any php code to a widget and then place it in any sidebar.

there are two separate widgets for this, one is to accept text and the other to accept code. I use both but frankly, you can put text into the php code widget too.

It's great but you need a wordpress theme that allows widgets .... all the newer ones do.

go to wordpress dot org and then /extend/plugins/php-code-widget/

(I couldn't post a URL because I don't have enough postings)

go to that URL to get the plug

I wold recommend aweber or another email autoresponder system to get the code for your opt-in ... you can do it yourself too, but with a company like aweber or icontact you will never have to worry about spam complaints.
