Creating a Relationship with Advertisers (question...)

I'm currently a publisher with adsense and doing well with them. Recently they announced they share 70% revenue with us. Which is pretty good in my opinion.


However I'm wondering if anyone knows of any relatively simple platforms for creating our own "adsense type setup" on our website & inviting advertisers to deal with us directly. Not on a bidding system though, it would be fixed prices per click as negotiated.


I'm not talking about setting up banner ads or anything but a tracking software for link ads....something the advertisers could easily work with & trust. Something legit.


Why bother doing this?

Adsense is great to work with & manages all this stuff for us. I have no plans on leaving adsense whatsoever. However I also don't like my eggs all in one basket and would like the ability to do the same thing directly with advertisers too.


Any ideas or feedback?

    Sounds like you are looking for some ad display software to track impressions and click, and to serve up the ads as well ... there is a lot of it around, search for it. Try CGI resources, and PHP resources for starters.

    What you propose is a lot like any other magazine or site running advertisements. Build yourself a Rate Card which shows how much each ad type would cost. Sell an actual ad though, don't sell just a listing ... that would be like selling links and you'll get into hot water with that.

    Personally I would take action to get away from AdSense .... someday you might just wake up and find that for no reason whatsoever Google has shut you down. They own the world you know ...
