Tedious things that REALLY WORK for SEO...

Now there are a ton of things to do for SEO, but which methods are the best? I am compiling a list of all things someone could do on a daily basis to really help build SEO for their website. Hey it may be tedious... but it works!

1. Article Directory Submitting (I like to do 1 article, and submit to 10 directories every day. Each article links to my blog and mainsite)
2. Blog posting (usually my plog post is very similar content to my article, and I post atleast once a day with a backlink to my main site)
3. Social Bookmarking (I use socialmarker.com to submit my blog post to 40 different bookmarking sites everyday. I usually will bookmark my main site once a week though)
4. Pinging (I will ping my main site everytime there is a change, as well as my blog, and any articles when they get accepted)
5. Find DOFOLLOW blogs in my niche and make comments w/ a backlink to my main site.
6. you add some!

I do these on a daily basis and it definately works! But I am hoping to grow my list of things to do... I get in a zone and I can really just do the most tedious stuff back to back to back (not to mention we can all outsource this work). So if you got a tactic or trick that helps with SEO, please share it and let get this list really large!

Video marketing. Use Traffic Mogul or Traffic Geyser to submit a new video to all the major sites at least once a month with a link in the description box linking back to the homepage and internal pages and keywords in your title and description box.

I would add contextual links from other websites and blogs.
You can also link the pages within your website using keywords as your link text

Find any WP blog that has the top commentators plug in installed. This works very well.

Just Google "Top commentators" YOUR KEYWORD

If you comment on the blog and have enough comments to be in their Top Commentators, then you earn backlinks

I would add Squidoo to the list. Create a lens or a network of relevant lenses for both traffic and backlinks. If you are promoting a blog Squidoo even has a built in feed so you can have your recent posts showcased (with titles or summaries)

I've never heard of this one before, but just did some research on some of my keywords and it looks like a pretty good technique. Thanks for the tip.

I am currently have great success with hubpages. I bookmark them, ping them, and use my hubs rss feed on my squidoo pages.

Don't forget press release they kick arse!

Consistently building up high PR and relevant backlinks as well as the right on page SEO stuff works well.
