Are we in the xmas season??

I have noticed this past week my adsense earnings have gone up quite a bit, is this the start of the xmas online shopping season?

To me it is a bit early. In B&M world xmas shopping season starts around thanksgiving, but I realize online might be different??

    My business isn't affected by the holiday season, but I did see some Christmas trees at the mall last weekend Still seems a bit early to me!

      For years, the christmas season began immediately after Thanksgiving. In recent years it began right after Halloween - and this year looks like it will start before the weather cools off. Next year it may start on July 5.

      For adsense, I expect what you are seeing is a seasonal increase in traffic that often starts after traditionally slower summer months.

      I guess when shipping is in play you have to start early, and on the other end when it gets close to xmas, it might end early to, as there might not be enough time for shipping.

    Exactly dear i came to know that they start shopping in September and now Oct start week.so yes it will get affected for sure

    Hi Jlady, Christmas season is starting right after Halloween.

    Christmas is the number one seller event a year, followed by Halloween.

    Blogs and articles should be up and running by now for Halloween.


    When building or purchasing blogs for big shopping events, I always plan my actions eight weeks before season, this means - Christmas sales preparation starts now (october, latest)

      My sites are product sites not necessarily geared towards christmas but I keep hearing about how great the christmas season is, I just didn't expect it to start this soon.

    I saw ghosts and ghouls hanging on fake Christmas trees at Big Lots yesterday. All that was missing was the turkey.

    Even if it isn't officially Christmas season for shoppers, it should be for marketers.

        My wife picked up a Christmas present last week. She didn't go out looking for something, she just came across it. It was something that she was thinking about purchasing as a Christmas present and it was on sale. I wouldn't be surprised if there are not many people starting to do this, starting this month.
