How To Install Apps Manually On Your Website?

I want to use an App (which came as a zipped file with .php scripts) which is not a wordpress plugin. I have absolutely no clue whatsoever how and where to set it up for my Wordpress blog which uses Hostgator's hosting services.

    It's highly unlikely that no one knows the technique considering there are so many experts here. Not all of them might be depending on Wordpress plugins for everything they do.

    I will try getting answers from Hostgator's customer service instead.
