Have You Ever Received Any Useful Suggestion from Your Customer?

We have always talked about how to build a list, send emails to our list and so on.

Okay, I think this whole list building/email marketing thing is all about building a solid relationship with your subscribers.

Now, since you have been sending emails and newsletters to your list of customers, have you ever received any useful suggestion from any of them?

I mean a suggestion that you tried and it worked for you.

    Very often, actually!

People inform me about my (rare) typos or factual errors, which I correct.

People ask questions that I may write about in my newsletter.

The best is when people ask for a product I don't have but then create in response to their request.

I think anyone who has a successful business, online or off, receives good suggestions from customers frequently. I know I have. A few of them have paid off nicely.

People often point out things on my sites that are confusing, and I correct them.

      Many, many times.

The key to success in any business is to find out what
people want and then build compelling offers so they
      buy it from you.

I don't assume that I always know what my subscribers
want so I do a very simple thing: I ask them what they
      want.

It's amazing what prospects and customers suggest and
they often reveal blind spots I hadn't considered myself.

Sell what people have already told you they want and
the selling process becomes a lot easier.

      Dedicated to your success,

Yes, very often. We always ask for new product suggestions and we make a list of them, if themes develop or specific types of albums keep coming up then we make them - and yes, they sell... the best form of product development comes from your list I think.

I am thankful for every suggestion that I get from my customers! Some of the suggestions are bizarre and make me laugh, but some suggestions were responsible for huge changes to my business that resulted in more money or a more efficient way of doing something.

Don't ever think that you are smarter than your customers! Ego and arrogance will always result in failure.

'More communication' is a watchword for me. I look for it anywhere I can get it. I've had really useful info just from comments about pages that were social bookmarked.

People have such different perspectives. It isn't a question of being intelligent. Just looking at something from a different angle can make a big difference in understanding.

I've had a couple of situations offline where people who knew almost nothing about a situation contributed something really valuable to the solution. That's a bit of a story but I plan on typing it out some day.

best wishes, (there's just not enough of them)
