Knowing your chances to rank for your targeted keywords

Hi guys, I came up with a keyword research tool to help out newbies who don't know where to start off for keyword research. My tool is meant to be kept as simple as possible for people who have zero knowledge on internet marketing and keyword research. It is not a complete and totally accurate tool but I will say it has the main factors that affect the rankings in the SERP.

I hope to get some reviews on the tool on how I can further improve this tool to help people who are new in keyword research. To get to the tool, click on "keyword research analysis sign up".

Here is the link to the site : Keyword research analysis

Looks alright to me. You might want to explain to the users why you are doing the particular steps since they are going to be lost on what they are actually doing. For example, tell them why are you checking on their competitors' backlinks.

Thanks, I might want to create a page purely for that. Anybody has any other suggestions for me?

Easy there. Maybe you shouldn't give up so quickly.

The yellow links to the left of your pitch are bleeding outside of their "container" as I view them in Firefox.

            regarding your copy:

Our keyword research analysis tool is free to use, however it is needed that you sign up to our mailing list. We assure you there will not be any spam mails coming from us.

            A. Unless you mention some other worthwhile (to me) use to which you will put my email address, I'm still expecting spam. Maybe you don't consider further contacts from you to me as spam. I do, at least until you have built a rapport.

How about: "This keyword power tool is free to use. We only ask for your name and email address so that we may contact you to announce improvements, or to share new ways other internet marketers have found to use the tool. No spam. Ever."

            B. Avoid expressions like "it is needed that". In fact, try hard to avoid any use of the words "is" and "be".

When there is no other way to say what you mean, you may be stuck saying "is" or "be" (same goes for "are" and "am" and other words which are all about being.). I am convinced that a better way is to be careful to avoid "is" and "be". They are real drains on the effectiveness that is found in a sentence.

Now please put the next paragraph in place of the horrible [YUCK! PTUI!] one above.

When you must, you must, but you can usually find better, shorter, more powerful ways to get your message across.

We respect your privacy of the information you use to sign up for our tool. <--- pretty much equivalent to: "We respect your privacy." Fewer words are better words. Usually.

If you have already signed up before, key in the same name and email as you did previously.

If I have already signed up, it was before.

Say "already signed up" or "signed up before". Don't say both.

Unless you have a great natural talent, your first draft of anything probably runs 30% to 50% too long. Do a word count on every piece of copy. If you find 100 words or 1000, don't rest until you've trimmed the piece to 75 or 750. Then take a short rest and get back to work until you reach 65 or 650.

            Best of luck to you!

                That help?
