5 articles written...now what to do with them?

13 replies
Hi folks,

If I have 5 articles written and ready to put online...where should I start? Should I put the articles on my site? Should I submit them to EZA and have them link to my site? Or maybe Squidoo or Hubpages? Whats the best strategy?

I'm also concerned about submitting the article to a few places. Will that count as duplicate content?

    duplicate is nothing to really worry about.

    all it really is is just a filter. the worst that can happen is google won't index some of the articles. if you are that worried about it, just spin the articles every few submissions.

    also, what's you goal for these articles? traffic? if so, to where?

        I would submit them to EZA. Make sure you have done good keyword research, developed a well written resource box that draws readers to your product page, etc ...

  • I would try them out at ezine articles. They can be picky though. If they do not accept them then my next choice would be my own site (a blog), or my current favorite - hubpages. As for spinners - I hate them with a passion. I find it easier to just re-write them myself, and I end up with a better article in the end. If you really want to maximize your articles you could re-use them in ways that does not create duplicate content like turning them into a podcast - very easy, or make a slide show video with voice over that you can submitt to youtube, or revver. I like revver because they share profit with you, but you need lots, and lots, of people to watch your vids to actually make any cash.

    Ryan, you can do a lot with those articles.

    => Submit them to EzineArticles.com

    =>Take the main points of the articles and develop the article into a full-blown Squidoo or Hubpage.

    =>Re-write the same articles and post them on your website.

    I guess, following this system, you can easily kill quite a few birds with a stone (or an article )

    I would submit to ezinearticles.com
    I'd also submit them elsewhere after they get approved (maybe tweak your titles and do a few rotating resource boxes with varied anchored keywords) I'd do a bit of rewriting and put them on a blogger blog and I'd also bookmark all the articles on various social marketing sites. If you can, make a few lenses and hubs as well. You can get a lot of mileage out of a few meaty articles. Best of luck!

    If I were you I will rewrite them to produce several unique copies and create a free sub-domain to every free site hosting and create a link structure that point to each other especially to my money producing sites. What will be the effect of this? First, if you are targeting adsense and affiliate marketing products then you can easily plug it in and you can earn several link baits plus your main money producing site can have a possible increase on traffic and PR.

    Hence, your site can draw traffic from two sources with a single version.
    I would put the original articles on your site and then submit a rewritten version to EZA and other article directories as well as Squidoo etc.
