When offering anything for a sign up.....

When anyone decides to build their list and use a squeeze page please for the love of God do not advertise one will receive product A when really they will receive product A after signing up and giving 5 extra emails to get it.

Be honest and upfront in whatever you are selling, promoting or giving away. I just had another experience with some dork who pulled this. So the person who recommended this to me now lost me as a subscriber and the one who got my email to begin with got an earful and lost me right away. Shady business practices have no place in real business
***Edit: Remember that people who sign up for your offer are potential customers which is the point in building a list just because one may not buy the first time doesn't mean they won't the next time. Customers folks it is all about the customer!

    WDMino, this type of practise comes with the turf. I don't like it either when morons keep trying to tell me that each and every offer is the ONLY way to succeed.

    They also assume I'm not making money and make no attempt whatsoever to provide me helpful tools to further my business.

    I always opt out of these desperate marketer lists ASAP.

    And the new Guru bashing trend is annoying too, especially when you are a guru... STFU!

    I hope you were not referring to me as a guru:p

    Best thing for anyone to do when operating business on or offline is to focus on the customer give them super value an not a hard time being upfront is best rather then being deceptive. Tactics like I described above are not good practice they simply show before you even deal with them to avoid doing so.
