30s Opinion on a website

Hello
I started here and am enjoying myself here. I was just wondering if it would be acceptable to ask an opinion about the design of this website: liangcha-herbaltea.com/blog or just liangcha.org sorry I can't post links here yet but just search "liangcha-herbal tea" in google and it will be very close to the top. What would you do to improve design etc?

    The design is very attractive, easy to read. Just a couple of notes...

    > The book cover in your opt-in box is very difficult to read in the size it's posted.

    > The site took several seconds to load. From the stream of resources called in the status line, you draw from a lot of outside sources. Two that I noticed that are notorious for slowing page loading are Google Analytics and the Amazon widget.
