Ok, I may be getting a bit lazy even thinking of this - however I try to outsource as much as possible. So, would or do any of you outsource your Aweber, and by this I mean the uploading of the mail series.

I have 110 which require uploading, Im considering outsourcing however I dont have a full time VA, only hire as I need so I think it may be a bit risky giving them complete access to my aweber account.

What are your thoughts?

Yes I feel your pain. I wish AR services would create sub-user accounts.
For now you will have to trust your VA.

In progress of hiring a VA, so I just hope I get a good one... Never hired a VA before always just done by tasking, but that is getting time consuming.

IMHO the best and most secure way to outsource your list would be to get a VA or freelance writer for writing your autoresponders! Including them into Aweber isn't the PITA, but writing all the content ;-)

If you hire a VA who also has an Aweber account, you could simply use campaign sharing. Have your VA upload the articles to his/her account as a new list and turn on campaign sharing, then you just copy and paste the code into your list and you're done. The only caveat is that campaign sharing will wipe out any previous messages, so it does need to be a new list.

cindybidar, thats not a bad idea - however if the VA goes MIA or has a dispute with me I could easily loose my entire list! Ive had some outsources get very demanding, very fast.

      You may have misunderstood.

She meant the VA can upload the campaign into their own Aweber account (The VA's Aweber account, not your own) and then use the feature to share the campaign with you.

This means you don't need to give away access to your Aweber account, yet can still have someone else do the work for you.

But if they leave, and delete all messages from their account wont my list also be deleted?

No, you would still have all messages in your account.
Once you imported the messages (using the "share campaign")
          they are under your control.

... And your list will still remain in tact, because it is held in your Aweber account only. No one will ever have had access to your mailing list, or lists.

I hope that this clarifies things.

            Regards,
            Jeff.

As an aside, I would backup my AWeber accounts daily if needed. There are a multitude of things that can go wrong.

You could have your VA do it.

      Just a thought.

Remember, your email list is your "business". If you give access to your autoresponder account, please ensure you have measures in place so you do not lose control of your account or your list is stolen and used for spamming or other mis-use. Be careful.

Another warning to all using autoresponders, are you backing up your lists to your own hard-drive?

I'm not sure about how to set up auto-responders with Aweber using a VA and not giving account access, but for broadcast messages you can use the RSS broadcast feature and get your VA to produce content through an RSS feed. Could be a private wordpress blog, email to RSS or any other way to post via RSS.
