How Many Hours Per Week Are You Working On Your IM Business?

When I first started out I was working 10+ hours per day burning myself out and making very little money. Fast forward 4 years now I'm working about 10-15 hours per week earning a full time income. It's a great feeling. All of the Warriors have the opportunity to make a great income from home!

The #1 thing that exploded me up to this stage is that I OUTSOURCED.

What about you guys, how many hours per week are you working?
#business #hours #week #working

Something like 20 hrs but little income. Most of my time is wasted by browsing for the best opportunity or the low connection speed lags me and wastes my time even though i want to do more. That is to say 20hrs is not used efficiently. Hope wil change soon.

Fast Internet isn't essential but it is very helpful.

I do 4 hours of very productive work everyday, and I make a really good living .

outsourcing is amazing, especially when you provide them all with a good automation software.

with the combination of me and my outsource team I probably get more done in one day than most people get done in a month no exaggeration.

This hits the nail on the head.
Until i started using automation software the people working for me were just as burnt out as i was. between SEN and MS most of the work is already done it just takes a little guidance and its all good.

I have been working 14 hour days on my Internet business for the last decade. I do it because I love it and can't imagine spending my time doing anything different. As a result I have earned consistent six figure incomes from all my businesses. If you come weak with your business someone with the drive like mine will beat you out. You want something bad enough in life you go out and get it.

I probably average 100 hours/week. Of course, when one considers time commuting and what not, that is less than I was working before I did IM full time. I personally like to work hard.

Even with outsourcing (which I do a lot of), the more hours, the more $$.

I think a "full time" income can mean a lot things to a lot of people. Minimum wage x 40 hours week doesn't equal a full time income as far as i'm concerned. Set the bar high I say.

You're right. To me I look at a full time income at around $5,000+ per week. I set the bar high.

That's exactly my point. I don't need to invest more than that to make more money. I'm earning a high 5 figure income right now but if I want to increase that number to 6 figures per month I'll just hire more people. No need for me to physically work more. Outsourcing is a beautiful part of your business.

Stefan, that's great. This is exactly how I view IM myself.

So many people get caught up in the little details and wonder why they don't get anywhere. You need to spend some money to make some money...

        Just like in every business.

If you opened a restaurant, you'd need cookers, staff, cash equipment, and a place to do business.

Online is the exact same thing. If you're not atleast outsourcing the tedious stuff, you're wasting time and being too frugal to make MORE money in the long run.

Sweet. You're truly on your way to the automated income stage. You're business is already setup. Outsource the traffic generation and your business is making money day after day year after year.

This really depends on what type of projects I'm currently trying to finish.

Even with outsourcing, I spend around 10 hours if I'm working on a product/service launch.

On day to day stuff, I personally do around 4 -5 hours while my outsource team do a lot more. I could do less and outsource more...but I don't want to.

For me IM is not work. It's something which I find addictive. Like a kid playing on his Xbox :p

  • I do about 4 productive hours a day, and then plenty of butt scratching around (checking stats, emails, skype, etc). But if I was to be strict with my own schedules, I could probably run my business working only until lunch time.

i work a lot as i am just starting out in this field.. i dont only have to work but i also have to learn a lot of things.. i cant afford to outsource my work, so i have to learn everything from seo to website creation to writing articles.. thats a lot of work.. so i work a lot.. like ten to twelve hours a day..

I still put in a lot of hours - but like some others have said, I do a lot of that because it is what I love to do. With that being said, much of what I do is not what I consider real work. For instance, when I am writing a book because I want to write a book, that is what I consider writing for pleasure - even though in the end it is designed to create a stream of income.

I want to stay ahead of the game - I plan to continue investing several hours into my business each day, at least for a few more years. This is my passion, it's how I make money and it provides a lot of enjoyment for me - and I do outsource many tasks. I don't intend to give up working long hours anytime soon.

Well one of my businesses is also coaching newbies to get the IM basics down (and I mean those who don't even know how to use twitter/facebook or mailing lists) so I feel like I'm at the computer 24/7 and like Cathy I dream about it too.

I've outsourced some things but I really need to learn to let go and/or find the right people. That's one of my biggest hurdles I think.

outsource and leverage is key. However, there should be no excuse for getting lazy. Even if you only work 4 hours a day, imagine what you can accomplish if you work 8 hours or more per day..If you are highly motivated, driven and enjoy your work (which you should), then why not work more..

I was thinking about this same thing today.
I break it down like this:

    1. Thinking About My Business:
    A. The Days Activities: 6 hours
    B. 1 Week in Advance: 2 hours
    C. 1 month in advance: 1.5 hours
    2. Thinking About IM - Strategies, Training, My Own Education, Creating
    A. 6 hours

Total: 15.5 hours -- Yep - it's Eastern Standard Time 3 AM right now --
I guess I could say I'm on schedule -- Excited, Can't Sleep, & on The Warrior Forum.

Am I the only one this nuts?
