Direct Linking To Amazon or Building List Too?
I have a new website thats getting loads of traffic right off the bat, its based around a physical product and I'm linking to Amazon.
I don't know whether to just direct link to amazon from the site and collect the small commission per sale or attempt to collect the email address first and build a list at the same time.
Ideally I would like to build a list too as the commissions are low for the product so most of the money would come from selling to the list of people with a very specific interest.
I'm finding it difficult to convince someone to optin to get the link to buy when they probably know how easy it is to visit any large site to buy the product after being pre sold. (My site is a review/info site that pre sells the visitor)
If I just have the link there they will probably click due to laziness and end up buying.
It seems a very round about way to obtain a link to buy the product even with an incentive to optin!
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
