Don't see many 'follow my progress' threads anymore?

Hi Folks,
not been on the forum for a while due to various reasons, but getting back into IM again, for various reasons!

I seem to remember there used to be a lot of 'follow my progress' threads, as people tried to make headway with their ideas.

I don't see any around - have they just fallen by the wayside, or are they not allowed anymore for some reason?

Cheers,
Gordon

    Hi gorndon, welcome back...

Those types of thread were relegated to off topic - I'm not entirely sure about the moderators' views on them - but it was partly due to them hanging around on the first page with very little info or follow up.

    Just lots of "great work".

Thinking about that, I'm a member of another paid forum which has a "success stories" area - and that could be one outlet for such posts - if Allen were so inclined.

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

    Gordon,

Allen decided not to allow them. Some were just hanging around with no updates, but still taking up front page space, as Karl mentioned. A lot of them turned out to be pre-preparation for WSOs. Basically, a very forum-centric style of product launch.

A few were actually quite useful, but there's no way to know in advance which will be. With the majority being problems, it wasn't deemed worthwhile (or fair) to allow some and not the others. Especially since some of them started with great intentions and just fizzled, rather than planning anything sneaky.

A lot of people were annoyed with the latter.
