Help Required with cart based payment options...
Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of setting up a website for a client and need some help understanding the payment process, i.e do i need a a payment processor, a merchant, a payment gateway etc.
I've only ever used paypal in the past to sell digital products, this is the first shopping cart/physical product based website I've been involved in. There isn't a big inventory, a maximum of around 20 products.
I'll be setting up 3 sites for him in total; 1st New Zealand, then UK and then the US.
I've done some searching here on the warriorforum and as I imagined there are tonnes of payment options. Problem is I dont know what I need, do i just need a merchant account or do I need a payment gateway as well, or do I just need a payment processor???
After reading through loads of reviews etc, I've kinda narrowed it down to 2checkout, but is this all I need?
Any help would be hugely appreciated, I feel like I'm going round and round in cirlces.
