Facebook Marketing Questions and Fan Pages

Hi warriors

I was wondering if someone can help me out or shed some light into this

Ok ive got multiple facebook accounts for various marketing campaigns and needs....within them ive got 'fan pages' for different things,...but problem ive got now is that

some of the fan pages have got nothing to do with the primary 'profile' linked to the account'

is there anyway I can go about interacting in discussions and other pages as the 'fan page entity' vs as the guy / user that linked behind the fan page

to give you an idea of the problem ive got

my primary user id might be round say 'the golfing niche'

but my fan page is to do with 'free marketing tips' but its a problem going around on other fan pages to do with marketing 'networking' as the *golfing guy" as opposed to the entity i created to do with the 'marketing tips'

any help or advice would be appreciated an welcome

thanks
Waseem

Well, I am not sure why you have a golfing profile and other seperate niche profiles. According to Facebook you are only allowed to have one personal profile, but under that profile you can create as many pages or groups as you want.

Why not create all the fan pages under your main personal account? I am not sure how you have a "golf" personal account anyway. When you create the pages it doesn't really show up who created it anyway, at least it's not blasted out for everyone to see it.

Just use one main "non niche" account to interact with others and then create all your "niche" pages under that main account I would think would solve your problem.

hey chad thanks for the feedback buddy

you see this is the problem, I have multiple fan pages under one account..however they are VERY different and totally un related

but what id like to do is interact with other groups, users, pages too under that entity/page as opposed to say 'Waseem Mirza'

id rather show up as say 'Golfing Tips Group' - niches are just examples to emphasis what i wanna do

Trouble with Face book is it's slow and adding people is very slow and you can get penalized....to me facebook is more a waste of time than it is good for business, I canceled all my accounts a few weeks ago...and I feel less stressed and better for it.
There's way better ways of doing business online !!

I have to deal with this also. I have my main account with about ten different pages (for vastly different niches),

Why can't you be Waseem Mirza expert in the golf niche, and then interact with those people as an expert in the golf niche (they don't need to know you have other niches), then you can be Waseem Mirza, expert in the ____ niche and interact with those people. Stick with you, your profile as the center and then go out and work with different groups in each one of your niches.

The best thing to do when you get a new friend (whether you "friend" them or they "friend" you) is to seperate these people into different groups for each of your niches. So, you'll have a golf list of friends, a (fill in the blank) list of friends, etc. Do you do this already? Because it can be very helpful.

Also, when you post, you can choose who can and can't see your post. You can pick (or not pick) any of the groups you have made above. So if you're posting on golfing, then you can make it so the post only goes out to your golf list.

The best way to use facebook for online marketing is to build relationships with people. And the best way to do that is to use your own name...no matter how many niches you are involved in.

spot on Emma, thanks for understanding exactly the issue ive got!

          good advice and much appreciated

the problem ive got is is some facebook 'fan pages' (not groups) have got a following of over 50k where as friend limit is 5k....one of the reasons i started fan pages in the first placed...before I knew it started branching of to other markets an creating other entities...good thing about it is the people cannot see whom the orginal author of the page is..howveer would be good to comment around facebook to other groups and pages as the 'avater' created itself vs waseem mirza (whom is a shadow behind the project who really has no relationship whatsoever towards the fans...

am thinking for future projects i should stick with just 1 fan page per account so i can freely interact inside

anyway thanks again emma, you made some good points

You can create another account and engage with your market or you can stay with in your own fan page and engage other people, pages, or groups by using the tag feature while posting on your own fan page. this will post on the wall of those you have tagged with using your fan page rather than your main facebook account.

I think it’s better to interact with other people through the “avatar” instead of the shadow personality behind the overall project. As they say, you need to build relationship and they became fans of the “avatar” so it’s better to interact using this profile.

yep exactly...but facebook alloyingly doesnt let me interact elsewhere as another person....only limited to the original profile name (Waseem Mirza)
