HELP - How to edit text in my html sales letter?

Hello Warriors.

Gary here.

I've tried editing the text of my sales letter via Komposer.

I can easily edit the copy but when I save it and upload
it back to my server, the sight itself is completely screwed!

The background doesn't show, the sales letter is cut off
and the page view is crap!

What am I doing wrong?? I only want to edit the text/copy.

Any help??

    Just edit the copy in a text editor, if you really must use an editor like Dreamweaver or FrontPage

    This might be a stupid answer, but are all the picture files on the server? Are the codes correctly pointing to the correct location of the files (on your server) or are the codes still pointing to the files on your computer?

      This is not a stupid answer by any means. Sometimes saving the file that you edited locally on your computer can alter the file path to your image folder.

      If you provide the link to your site maybe I can take a look at your source files and see what might be causing the problem.

    Hey there... I used Kompozer to edit the text in the sales page. I just
    opened the web page within Kompozer... did my copy edit... saved it
    and re-uploaded to the exact server.

    But the site just doesn't view correctly. I didn't make any changes
    to the CSS or anything...

    It's going to be difficult to say what went wrong without seeing the page itself.

    Is it the site in your sig because that seems ok?

    If you can share the URL maybe we can help.

    My guess is that Komposer is messing up the html when it saves.

    Try this:

    Take a clean copy of the original file (that displays correctly).

    Open that in a plain text editor.

    Change the text you want to change, being very careful not to mess up anything between "<" and ">" including the brackets themselves.

    For example, if you want to change a headline that looks like this:

    Code:
    <h1>This is my headline</h1>
    You would change only the characters This is my headline and leave the html tags
    Code:
    <h1>
    and
    Code:
    </h1>
    intact.

    Save the file, and ftp it to your server. Load the page. If it looks screwed up, try refreshing it so that your browser pulls a fresh copy from the server.

    I tried Komposer, and it did some funky things to the code.

    files that had changed after using kompozer.
