Is it possible to optimize YouTube vids?

Can I make a Youtube video, title it Black Widgets and rank for black widgets if I have quality backlinks pointing to that video URL or is there a better way to do it?

I know you would need to have Black Widgets in the title of the vid and maybe in the description but anything or a lot that I am missing?

    Bookmarks, rss feed submissions, articles linked back.

    Trick....

    Find a "most viewed" relevant video and swipe all their tags and use them on yours. You should then appear as a top recommended video when people watch the other.
    (videos....no one can watch just one ;-)

          Your target keyword should be your title... You can get there by including your keyword in your title, but you do better to select keywords as your title...

          Also optimize your description for related keywords, but don't focus only on keywords... Also focus your description on attracting another viewer to your video...

          Build links to your videos...

          Some people buy video views, which if it is a viral-type video, can be useful for getting your video into YouTube's top 100 video lists...

          But if your video doesn't have mass appeal, buying views may be a total waste of your money...

    Also, in your description, be sure that the very first thing you put in there is your URL to your website or landing page. Follow this with the rest of your description with appropriate keywords.

    I think what matter most is the content and the keywords. If you are targeting specific keywords for your video and the content of the video is relevant to it, then there are lot more chance to get it to the top in video results.
    Besides doing the regular tag optimization, you will also have to promote the video thru various social networking websites and video submission sites so that it get maximum views and search engines will index it frequently.

    There is NO difference SEO wise between a YouTube video, and a Blog post.

    Both need engaging keyword rich titles.
    Both need tags
    Both have places to put external links
    Both have comment posting from other users
    Both can be shared thus creating linkbacks

    Think of it like optimizing a blog post, and you will rock on
