Question about posting on Forums

I plan on posting in forums to get back links to my website. How do I do this? I entered my website where it says to show it so people know what it is, but is this a link? Or do I got to create something in my signature with anchor text?

if your just posting to have a Sig link, then there are elcheapo services out there that spam forums at penny prices.

it saves you all of the hard work, then all the silly old forum mods have to do is run around cleaning up the crap that these people leave behind.

If you want to post here just to leave your Sig link, drop a message to the mods at the help desk, as i am sure they will be happy to ban your account before you start to make a mess.

/ now if your intending to offer a valuable contribution to the forum you will find in your cp a edit signature option where you can add a link to your own site

Your goal should be more than just a link to your website...

In forums, you get a dual opportunity -- getting a link and building your reputation...

You get to decide if you are building a bad reputation or a good reputation...

If you are only chasing links, you will quickly obtain a bad reputation, and a ban may be close behind...

But if you choose to build a solid reputation and get a link back to your website, then you will find yourself a nice home here at the Warrior Forum...

If you are a good guy... Welcome to the Warrior Forum...

If you are bad guy... You will be quickly identified and eliminated from our midst...

BTW I don't would never spam and would never want to be banned from here this place is keeping me afloat! As, a beginner this place is the best so many helpful and knowledgeable people.

      Yes.

You want to avoid self-promotion in a post, as it tends to piss off the community...

With that having been said, if you have a good reputation, you can occasionally get away with self promotion in a post... I have probably done it twice in more than 1000 posts...

Links in a signature work best in article marketing too...

You can choose plain links that show the Domain URL, or you can connect links to words in the anchor text...

The best advantage in using anchor text in a forum signature is that you can reduce the number of characters you use in your signature, because you are only allowed to type a specific number of text characters in your entire signature...

I personally feel very nice when I come and interact with people on several things related to online marketing.
My initial goal was also same, to gain good quality backlinks from the forum. But later it changed as I started getting more and more information on the domain.
So now my goal is to get and share information on SEO and online marketing.

  • Forum members will only take the time to open the link in your signature, if you build yourself a reputation of someone who knows what they're talking about. You must earn your reputation by posting messages which are informative, interesting and above all, worded in respectable language. Professional forums are the perfect place to build your reputation as a professional, but you must invest work and effort as well.

You are planning to do something that:

    1. You do not know how to do
    2. You do not know the pitfalls or benefits of.

Perhaps you should dig a bit deeper and become more informed before deciding it is a plan?

I would suggest that instead of commenting just for the backlinks you must share your knowledge and the benefits you(r) service can provide to the people. This way you will target 2 things. One you will be getting a backlink and second you will spread awareness about your service.
