Social Bookmarking question

I just put up a new website and paid someone from fiver to do it. He's gonna manually submit my site to 20 different social bookmarking sites. He is just doing this to my homepage which is static is this alright or should I have gotten him to bookmark the subpages as well to look more natural. Can doing what I did hurt me in terms of being penalized by google?

    Hey bigballin6161,

You should always try to mix it up, but don't worry about Google penalizing you for just those few posts.

It's alright, homepage bookmark is enough
and you can bookmark and ping it using onlywire and pingomatic.
Be sure to add something unique in your homepage.

Manual and semi-automated is ok. When you have new posts
or new page then bookmark and ping it or submit RSS once
so that you don't need to do the process again or use a plugin
    to do it.

You can always add useful widgets to make your homepage fresh such as recent comments and as Ross mentioned, RSS feed. But what you're doing is giving your site a good kickstart.

You won't get penalized for that small amount of bookmarking. If you did that with hundreds of bookmarking sites, that might be a different story.
