How Can I Track Conversions???

Wondering if anyone could give me some ideas. Is there anyway to truly track conversions when you are an affiliate?

I know you can make a second page between the landing page and the destination page, but without access to the advertisers logs how can you know which customers finished the sale and which ones did not.

as an affiliate the only way to do this is to have the product owner place a your tracking pixel on there thank you page. So for instance for my leadimpact account I would take the tracking pixel and shoot my affiliate manager at my cpa network a email to place the tracking code for that offer that I was running.

If it is for clickbank or something else you need to get in touch with the product owner to have them place your tracking on the thank you page of the product. You may also check out tracking202 pretty cool service and its free I think if not prosper202 is.

If it is a clickbank product, you can track using tracking ID, clickbank.net/?tid=word

      Thanks Guys

@Chris - In your experience how easy is it to get the affiliate managers to add tracking pixels? I'm guessing that's the same as tracking code? Is it something they would do for anyone even if they are just starting out, or is it something they would only do for their high volume affiliates?

I have had no problem with any of my affiliate managers place tracking id's for me...

Basically with the CPA networks your manager should realistically do anything you ask them whether you are doing big volume or small, since they get paid more when you do

This should be the same for any product you promote because your are the one making that person money.

Thanks a lot Chris! That's one of those key pieces of information that I think will make a huge difference for me. I always get those emails after signing up for a program saying "let me know if there is anything I can do to help you", but I thought it was just standard niceties, I had no idea they would be willing to add code for you. Really appreciate it!
