Can you name marketing guru names and their successful business models?

Hi.. I am an emerging marketer.. I would like to follow business model of a marketing guru. Bcoz I heard that it would be great if we follow the business model rather than doing some blah-blah work and quitting IM. So it would be really grateful if you spell some of the famous IM guru and most importantly their business models which even work in this competitive internet marketing world. It will be useful to other marketers too.

    Create a product that feeds the hunger
    Offer it to the market
    Rinse and repeat

    Rosalind Gardner - She has sites with Sitesell. Also theme based content affiliate review site.

    Ewen Chia - Not sure where he got the title of super affiliate but I personally feel that he's better in cashing in the IM market targeting newbie by launching rehashed stuff from time to time. Product not created by himself but outsourced.

    Mark Ling & Chris Rempel - Mini sites.

    Chris Carpenter and Mcneeney - PPC (Adwords) & email marketing

    Travis Sago - of course, bum marketing, then later in PPC & email marketing.

    Steve Wagenheim - he'll definitely reply this post if he saw this that he is no guru but I personally thinks that someone who's capable of generating >10k/mth is worth mentioning. He specializes in article marketing and copywriting..

    Basically, all of them uses email marketing at one point or another.

    This list is not exhaustive...all names mentioned are people of whom I have bought products from...

      The question is actually hard to answer because very few really successful marketers follow a single business model.

      And, horror of horrors, of those who would *sell* you a business model, many don't necessarily really follow anything like it themselves.

      That's not to say that they are all scammers. Many people, me included, have tried (and made money) with so many different models that we feel perfectly qualified to teach them to others. With experience comes the ability to focus our own businesses on what we know brings *us* the best returns on our time. So while I, for example, have made good money from building AdSense sites in the past, and could do so again in future should I need to, I don't much enjoy it and prefer to spend my time in other ways. I could still teach you how to do it effectively even though I don't happen to follow that model myself right now.

      Success in Internet marketing comes in great part from learning enough about yourself to know which business models fit your own personality because you are very unlikely to build a long term business based on something you hate doing.

      SteveJohnson is on the ball. The very basics of creating a good and sustainable online business.

      Find a hungry market.
      Create a product for that market.
      Give it to the market.
      Do it all over again.

      Guru's are OK if you can find one who'll help you otherwise the above business model will get you far.
