Is this done with a shopping cart?

I am doing a site for a candle company. I need to include a drop down type menu where the customer can see the list of scents available as well as click on it to order that fragrance. Would this be done in a shopping cart or some other way? If it is a shopping cart, which one would work best for this (and be easy to install)? Thanks, Kate

    Hi Kate,

    It depends how much shopping cart functionality you need - if you're needing a complete product catalog with cross-selling, upselling and order handling etc. then something like OSCommerce or PrestaShop would be worth looking at. They pretty much are your website (rather than being integrated into your website) so you install them and then customise the theme and layout etc.

    If it's a simple list of fragrances and the ability to buy then PayPal do let you create shopping cart buttons to integrate into your existing site but obviously you're restricted to using PayPal for payments then.

        Yes it lets you add drop downs for product sizes/options which you can define yourself.
