Reseller Hosting Help!

Hello fellow warriors,

I know that this Forum is filled with HostGator fans, but I would really like to know as to what are all the other options when it comes to buying reseller hosting?

It would really help if you could make suggestions based on personal experience rather than by reading all the web hosting reviews out there:rolleyes:

Thanks in advance
Bhupinder

...and maybe that's enough reason to look elsewhere?

New hosting companies typically experience a number of different problems until they have had a fair amount of experience with configuring their servers, establishing the needed amount of bandwidth for their customer base, and organizing the inner workings of their customer support resources.

If they are a new service, why not give them time to sort all that out rather than being their lab rat?

Yes, that's what I was going to recommend too.

Some big time marketers I know of also use them and recommend them.

Edit: I must still be asleep - I read your thread as asking for HG advice. I've used other hosts but only HG for reseller. Since I've already written my answer below...I'll leave it.

In the past I've used three host companies that went out of business - tried and hated GoDaddy - but have been overall satisfied with HG for years. Saw no reason to look further.

I've used HG reseller accts for over ten years. I know others have had problems with HG and still other marketers don't like EIG (the company who bought out HG, BlueHost, etc in the past 3 years or so).

I've stuck with HG because I've personally had no problems with them. The tutorials on how to use reseller hosting are excellent because HG has sold reseller accts for many years. On the rare occasion when I have a question, I've always gotten a quick, clear answer from support.

Though I used one of my reseller accts (I've had three reseller accts simultaneously in the past) to provide temp hosting for people in my membership site way back when....I've never sold the hosting as a "reseller".

My use of reseller hosting is to have multiple sites on one acct - each with its own control panel. I never liked "add on" domains so, for me, reseller has been the way to go.

Im in the same boat. Never had any problems with them. Always use the Chat feature when I needed Questions answered and it has worked well.

And look at the three of us - posting in a 2010 thread bumped by a 1.5 liner....

Guess if you can't stop them - join them?
