WSO Payment: Why Not Add Visa, MasterCard

Dear All Warriors,

As you are aware, WSO only uses paypal for payment.

Why not add various payment solutions so other whose paypal (for example) is troubled can use other payment methods as it is done on other sites...?

I own and operate my paypal.. But there are still people who do not have paypal account.

If you are paying with credit card with paypal, it does not go straight instead, they would want you to register your card along with paypal account.

No. You do not have to make an account. PayPal makes it look like you do but if you read the page, you will find it's optional.

Sorry ... you do not need to create a Paypal account if you want to pay via Paypal with CC. You're right they want to make you do it - but you don't need to.

Many people think it is not possible to pay with credit card if one uses PayPal. I don't think that perception is going to change any time soon, even though many marketers such as Marlon Sanders have stated that in the order confirmation page.

Guess that is because of poor marketing on PayPal's part?

Actually it's pretty brilliant marketing or rather a market position on Paypal's part because as has already been said, they make it appear as though "you need to register with them" in order to purchase and so, when you make a sale, they gain a customer too. And a customer with a pretty good CLV!

The downside for merchants is that if a prospect doesn't want to sign up to paypal you'll lose the sale.

Actually this is a very solid point that Henry's made. Just FYI, Paypal doesn't serve several countries that I believe have resident warrior members here. I know mine is one. So even if you try their CC-no-need-to-sign-up-with-paypal-payment-option you still CAN'T pay.

Personally, I have been unable to use the WSO forum for a while now simply because Paypal is the only payment processor accepted there (and that includes the other forums where paid ads are allowed), I PMed Forum Help who directed me to PM Allen/Admin, I did so on 09-16-2008 with NO response till date, that's going on 2 months now--Allen please check your PMs! Thanks

Anyway, it just doesn't seem fair since many others can and want to profit from WSO's but just plain can't and no help seems to be forth coming... I hope Allen looks into offering other payment options, as I'm sure I'm not alone with this problem.

Anyways... my normal marketing continues, hope this is sorted in our favor sometime soon.

I can still authoritatively tell you that paypal would want you to sign up and thats a compulsory excercise if you have to pay even with CC.

As an IMter, what I do is this, I test all situation.

Get a credit card and attempt to pay with a paypal gateway, you will be required to log into your account and make a payment.

If you click on the continue instead of signing up, you will be asked to add your credit card, address and the rest, then you will have to click on "creat account" and this is the only option. Except you already own a paypal and log in, thgen you cannot use a CC.

Just like Kunle, there should be alternatives for all warriors. I use paypal but I know they have their own problems...

I use sitepoint and their point payment is flexible with various options too..

If you offer your clients the option of a real merchant payment system as well as paypal you will see an increase in sales.

Chris, Life and business is about varieties. You need to put your clients into consideration.

I use paypal if you are an IMter, there are those who want the option of buying your product swiftly and through the same medium.

Also, for WF payment, it should be done that way so those who want to pay to them by CC will be able to too.

I just read Justin Mitchie's ebook on running a successful wso and he suggests having more than paypal as a payment option for people out of the country paypal allows. Is this outdated advice or am I missing something?

The wso's actual $ transfer doesn't take place on warriorforum.com so I would think that having more options is strictly up to you...

Mike he's actually talking about paying for the WSO to LIST it, not for the service or product the WSO is for.

I don't want to sound hard.

But why rely on Allen?

He has a business to run and choices to make in the operation of that business that are his to make.

There many ideas you can create if YOU want to get your products advertised on the WSO board.

Start thinking outside the box!

You could just partner with other Warrior members and run as many WSO's as you want.

How many of them have you PM'd to ask for their help to partner with you to run a project? Where is your thread asking for ideas to make it work?

YOU are probably going to have to trust them and take a RISK that they will hold up their end of the bargain, but just try and find a quality posters with a good reputation and I am sure you will find someone to work with.

Allen has already done a great service by creating the WSO marketplace for marketers to profit from.

It is you who needs to think.............
