Google Local 10 Pack Secret Sauce

If you want to get into the 10 pack, you need as many citations as you can get.

Problem is, there are only so many online local web directories in which you can list a business.

So why not leave blog comments on local blogs, with your business name and/or address as a signature. It's very fast and easy to do.

I've heard someone on forums.seotalk try it out with success. Anyone else have results with this?

Having your business name and address in the signature sounds like it could work but sounds a little sketchy. May as well post fake reviews with keywords within them.

Depending on the city you're targeting you can usually make it into the 10 pack for a large area not only including the city but surrounding cities really easily just by having relevant data on as many local pages as possible, a little keyword padding and some reviews.

Yes, I completely agree. However, my client is cited in all of the local directories (yellowpages, brownbook, you name it).

The only time efficient way I see of adding as many citations as possible is through blog commenting. Besides, I don't think the blog owner is going to mind an address signature as long as I post something insightful.
