e-junkie --> AWeber - Do you have a good optin message?

When a purchase is handled by e-junkie integrated with AWeber, AWeber sends an optin e-mail to the purchaser.

For those of you who have done this, do you have a cleaver or interesting messages that you put in the AWeber optin e-mail?

I'm looking for ideas on how to keep optins at a high percentage.

Thanks,

Joe

"Please confirm your email address, so I can send you the links to your bonuses."

I use E-Junkie itself to send out product updates, which doesn't require an opt-in. I also occasionally use that to "sneak" an email to people who didn't confirm... or unsubscribed...

"I just updated product X, it now has this and that in it, here's your free upgrade. I'm also working on this awesome product, New Really Awesome Product, which you can see at [squeeze page link] when it's ready. It's kind of like Existing Less Awesome Product, which you can check out at [affiliate sales link] if you want."

I've been told by many customers that they're simply amazed at how I actually do upgrade my products and send them the new copies. They always get promised free updates, but they never get them. I think this is an underused strategy to connect with your list. If you're not doing it, think about starting.

Here's what gives me a nearly 100% confirmation rate with my E-junkie > Aweber integration...

Where's the one place that's also the last place you're sure each one of your customers will be paying attention? Your download page for the product they just bought from you!

Use that valuable real estate to tell them to go look for that confirmation email and click that link. Give them reasons: free updates on the product they just bought, special deals on your future releases, unannounced bonuses, etc.

In this image you can see where to do this inside your E-junkie account, on one of the screens when you're adding/editing a product: http://www.adclicktips.com/images/ejunkienotice.png

I can't remember the last time one of my buyers didn't confirm when doing this. It's gotta be like 99%+.
