Hi,
Thought this might be of some interest..........

Google have jumped in with a new url shortener....

Could be that prospective clients might trust this more than some shortners.

What do you think? Check it out!

That's unbelievable. I thought Google was pissy about Bit.ly and using it to hide affiliate links.

I have been using it for about a week or so, it works well, but I think I am just used to Bit.ly and the look and feel of it. I don't like the graphs google uses, they are harder to read on a quick glance, you have to move your curser over the point to get an exact time.

Not all url shorteners are created equal. Some will add a time lag (2 secs) or have down time which will definitely affect the user's experience. I wonder how many potential customers hit the Back button befor a sale can be made?

According to WatchMouse - Google's url service is the best with zero downtime and the fastest speed. Facebook's (I didn't know that they even had url shortening) has the slowest! See discussion here ->

I think it's bad to use any of them. They are easy to get blacklisted, you cant update links on many of them, countries block some of them.

Get a free host and use iframe redirects if you can't afford to host a script.
