Anyone know of decent URL Redirection service?

I want to have a domain name that redirects straight the sales page of the product I'm promoting.

Are there any decent services that allow you to do this?

      The article directory can still see it's a Clickbank Link.

        Then use the PHP direct. Just copy and paste that code into any notepad or text editor, name your file "index.php".....replace "YOUR URL" all 3 times and "YOUR TITLE" and then upload to the root of your domain name. It will redirect automatically by itself to your landing page.

      Or better yet, use a PHP direct:

      PHP Code:
      <html>
      <
      head>
      <
      title>YOUR TITLE</title>
      <
      meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">
      <
      script>window.location=YOUR URL";</script>
      <meta http-equiv="
      refresh" content="1url=YOUR URL">
      </head>
      <body>
      <p align="
      center">You are being taken to the correct page.
      <br>If the page does load after 5 seconds,
      <a href="
      YOUR URL">click here</a>.</p>
      </body>
      </html>

      Hi Jennifer,

      Probably nobody here should really be using bit.ly at all. On the subject of ".ly" domains, I read this the other day on Ben Metcalfe's blog: The .ly domain space to be considered unsafe | :Ben Metcalfe Blog

      But in any case, it's really not good to be dependent on the continued existence, goodwill, availability and changeable terms of service of any unnecessary third-party services for shortening url's, when you can instead be fully in control of your own business and its traffic.

      Just look at all the Warriors who had a major panic during last year when Tinyurl suddenly went into bankruptcy and all their links disappeared overnight (and for a while, before luckily being rescued, and the links salvaged, on that occasion, by a new corporate owner). For me, it would make absolutely no sense at all to put myself in this position, when there are far more reliable, sensible alternatives available which will leave me in control, instead of someone else, if anything goes wrong.

    If all you want to do is redirect a one URL to another, that is easily done in your domain registrar account.

      This is yet another way, yes. Anyway you do it, if they click the link, they're going to get redirected and you may get banned anyway.

      • How would I go about having a Domain name that was the sales page?

        For example I want the domain name www. 123456 .com to redirect straight to to the Clickbank Product.

        So in the URL Address bar it still shows my domain, not the Clickbank Sales page name.

          Well, that's actually not "redirection" - it is cloaking/hiding/deceiving...

          You should think twice before using such techniques.

      But the point still remains, if they click your link.....no matter how you redirect it, they're going to see that it's not going to the domain they clicked from. Just be aware of that. At lease using the PHP redirect or the domain redirect looks like a real domain if they just mouse over it.
