Aweber- Editing the 'Last Follow Up' for a Mass list?

by entry

I want to change the 'Last Follow Up' function on my aweber list from number 3 (email 3) to 999

(as i am entering 42 New emails, so dont want them receiving Message 3, 4, 5 etc) as I am still editing the aweber series.

or can i alternatively set email 3 to be Sent after 999 Days after email 2, so that wil put the delay on it?

    Okay, here's what you do.

Put a campaign code on your current autoresponder.

Create a new list. Enter the campaign code. This will import all the messages from your existing autoresponder, all at once. Nobody is on this list, so you have all the time in the world to edit your followup series.

Once you are done editing the followup series on this new list, put a campaign code on this one.

Now go back to your original list and enter the campaign code. Badaboom badabing, your old followups go *poof* and the new followup series replaces them.

That sounds neat - never thought of that approach. So everyone still stays at their previous 'day' point when you import the new sequence?

That, I'm not sure of. I've never had the balls to do this with a list that already had subscribers.

Is my way also a way, make the 3rd message set to 999 days, so that gives a delay, time for me to make changes?

I'm really not sure what your thought process is on this, so I'm hesitant to say it would work.

If you have people in your sequence already but they're on message 2 or earlier, I am pretty sure that setting the message delay to 999 days would give you time to make the changes... and when you set it back to (say) 2 days or whatever, they'd immediately resume at message 3 and proceed as normal.

But I'm not 100% convinced of it. It seems like that's how it SHOULD work, though.

Yep, That is exactly what i wanted to do, and reset it back to 2 days..

or can you BULK Copy and paste 42 emails from 1 sequence, to a NEW list ?

That's what campaign codes are for. Use the campaign code, and it will copy all the messages in one list to another list, replacing all the messages in that list.

Let's say you have two lists.

            List 1 has the followups A B C D E F G in it.

            List 2 has the followups H I J K L in it.

            If you put a campaign code on list 1, then import that campaign to list 2, list 2 will have A B C D E F G in it - and H I J K L disappear forever.

If you then muck about with list 2 and make it have A C F G B E M N O P D in it, you can put a campaign code on that, and then import it back to list 1.

If everyone on that list had gotten all seven messages, they would then start receiving message N, and in the end they'd receive a second copy of message D. They would never receive message M. However, you could go through that list and reset everyone's position.
