should I include Numbers if the domain I want is already taken?

I wanted to register a domain for exact match search.

i.e, the domain I wanted , Losebellyfat.com , has already been taken.

Will there be any effect if I add numbers at the end, to retain the exact keyword match.? e.g Losebellyfat01.com

is it bad for SEO.?

I think you will actually have better luck by using hypens (ie: lose-belly-fat.com). Or, if that's taken maybe something like LoseBellyFatNow.com (or some sort of action word). That will help your CTR from SEO traffic, whereas the 01 number can look spammy.

Some argue that the hypens look spammy, but I use hypens in many domain names of my own and rank well and have a fantastic CTR on organic traffic - so I would vouch for them.

You can also use stop words or try to get the .net or .org... But FYI, that keyword is going to be very competitive and an exact match domain will have diminished effect based on the level of competition.

I agree with what the others have said - don't use numbers. But just an FYI - I would have found it less spammy if you had used a "101" - like it was a course, rather than generic "01."

I would stick with .com myself, but that is a personal choice...

You can include hyphens in your domain name also, but I don't consider that the better option...

My choice would be to brand it somehow... Include one more word, so that you can build your site around a brand name...

      For example:

      LoseBellyFatQuickly.com
      LoseBellyFatWithSam.com
      LoseBellyFatSafely.com
      SafelyLoseBellyFat.com
      EuropeansLoseBellyFat.com
      EuropeanLoseBellyFat.com
      SamCanLoseBellyFat.com

      etc.

My problem with hyphens is when you have created a brand name and someone remembers to visit your website again... Inevitably, they will type your domain name without the hyphens and visit your competitors instead...

I have never seen .com's to have any SEO benefit over .net and .org. But that's just been based on SEO campaigns on about 50-60 sites.
