Creating country specific versions of an affiliate website in Wordpress

At the moment I have a wordpress site hosted on hostgator aimed at the UK audience but I want to make it applicable to a U.S audience as well.
I was hoping I could use the Amazon Link Localizer Plug in to make the same site applicable to both audiences but because there are slight variations in product names between the UK and US amazon sites it does not correctly map across.
So now what I want to do is have a seperate U.S and a U.K version of my affiliate site.
i.e have a /uk and /uk subfolder off the main domain and automatically forward the user to the version of the website for the country that they are located in if they go straight to the main domain page.
How would I go about doing that?
Could I somehow then easily transfer across the current UK aimed site into the UK subfolder?
Would I just do this within the wordpress admin bit or via my hostgator control panel?
