Follow up on autoresponder

I thought sure I ask this ? before but I can not find it even using the search feature.

After someone visits my site and I capture his email but he does not buy (diet site ) What do I send on my first autoresponder. Then if he is not going to bite what do u typically send opn your follow up autoresponders? Do u entice him with a different offer even though he a diet opt in niche?

    Hey,

Just keep telling him/her about your product and how it can really benefit them if they buy it now.

I have read somewhere a while back that it takes an average of 4-7 emails before a prospect actually buys a product your selling.

Not everyone may agree with that though.

Yeah you could do that. When I posted my last post I was assuming you already had an auto-responder saying thank your for subscribing sent to them.

To improve it even more, why don't you give your prospect a thank you gift, like a free report or something about dieting.

I'd say it is quantity - you need at least upwrads of a thousand people to make a sale - think in terms or ppc -- usually i fin its a 1000 then a sale -

    treat them like kings -

I create a pattern for all my subscribers. So here is what I did.

    1) They will receive a welcome mail and a free PLR pack
    2) For the next 9 days, they will receive 1 PLR pack for free.....No ads attached in the email
    3) On the 10th day, they will receive my offers.

The pattern cycle continue....9 Free PLR pack, 1 offer....

So, for the first 9 days you condition your list to expect
just free content and no offers from you?

Just to let you know that this conditions your list to be
freebie seekers - instead of buyers.

      Dedicated to your success,

First of all, provide the subscribers a diet offer such as ebook, report, or audio or even video format after they have opted-in.

Secondly, set-up a welcome message in your autoresponder ready to go once they have subscribed to your opt-in form.

Lastly, write about the benefits of the diet ebook that you want to sell or promote and upload to your autoresponder.

    Hope it helps...

First off, start sending them motivation. Send them an uplifting success story, even if it is one you reference from a product you might be promoting. Your readers want to be inspired and motivated. Send them links to an inspiring video or "before and after" photo you have embedded in one of your sites.

Second, If you are selling an ebook promote why it can help them, hit a different series of benefits over the series of messages, along with the PAIN POINTS. Talk to them about how GREAT they will feel with their new weight loss and success.

Third, Open your eyes!!! Seriously! There are literally thousands of good offers in the diet niche. Whether they are ebooks, exercise equipment, coaching, videos, supplements, etc.. After you run through a series promoting your first offer start telling them about other ideas to solve their problem. (Take a look at CPA offers, too.)

Fourth, if they buy, you still need to start hitting them with new offers, added motivation, surveys about how they are succeeding, keep up the communication.

The biggest factor is to always provide them with value in the form of information, motivation, or product recommendations so they continue to open your emails.

Just like most marketers do. Make a very impressive thank you email on your first email. Don't make it something formal. Just make a casual email whom he can relate to.

In case, the client decline the offer, then don't push every product you have. Think of this, you clients don't check emails to look for products to buy, but for information to learn from.

So if you have regular blog posts that you can share, post it also on your email so that you may create better interaction to your clients. Then of course, still send them offers at least twice a week.

Me for example, I inform my clients about the best online business tools that they can use.. then at some point I direct them to the page where I offer several online tools at minimum cost :-)

How you aim to react towards this really depends on how your subscribers react. you will need to track and change it over time never take any of this advice as solid as it changes over time and market to market.

If it was me In the first email I would be sending them a thank-you email with a really emotional 3 act play (Look up 3 -act plays on wikipedia if you don't know what they are) true story about myself or a friend of mine that went through a tough time with dieting, they tried every etc. and nothing worked out.
I would cut the three act play into 3 emails so the 2nd email would be the 2nd act and the 3rd email the 3rd act.

then the 4th email I would send them an offer going. Now I am not saying this is a magic pill or a over sleep makeover or that is going to work for you (Insert their name) but what I will tell you is that it worked for me or my friend depending on the perspective of the story.

I want you to feel the way I do now being able to play with my children, being able to run that 5km marathon, being able to have that slice of choclate mudcake not having to worry if it might kill me.

I know it hurts not being able to do these things I was just like you and I managed not to lose 100 pounds but I lost 50 pounds and thats a great start for me and all I did was sacrifice a rubbish choclate cake a week that used to give me this heartart, pain and stress.

Now I am not asking you to give up the world, all I am asking for your own benefit so you can play with the kids gain without getting worn out is to not buy that choclate cake or the fudge brownie and instead spend your money towards this book it's only $47. (or however much it is).
You know what (insert name) forget that offer okay, I just want you to forget it. Because I am so committed to you succeding in losing off that weight that I want to give you 80% off on my special membership where a group of us fatties get together and talk about what weighing us down and then we all report on what we did. I know it's hard to do it along and thats why I made this group. I thought I would give you 80% off but I know taking the first step is the hardest one, so I will give you the first month free and after that it will only be $37 a month (or whatever price it will be) and I will remind you before that happens! I really want you to succeed in losing this weight like I did, because I want you to feel the same way I felt the day I was able to go play soccor with my son and wear him out instead of falling over in the first 2 mins.

I know you want to feel the same way as well so why don't you go over here and fill out the forum and I will be talking with you next week and together as a family we can get rid of your fat.

    Talk soon
    (pen name)

Thats an Idea of how I would go about hitting my market and I hope it gives you an idea. Thats a pretty rough draft as I just wrote it up in about 5-10mins and would need testing and I am sure some of the other experts here would change a decent amount of it. But for a skeleton I am sure that will get you a few decent conversions

Stay with the same offer. If he was interested enough to check it out and give you an opt-in, he's still interested--even though he didn't buy. The key is to find out WHY he didn't buy and overcome that objection in your follow ups.

So here's what I do: I set up a series of 7 (or so) emails with each email focusing on ONE specific want/need/desire/problem the prospect is experiencing. Then I position the product to be the end-all. be-all solution to that specific problem. Next email, I do it all over again with a different problem and a different solution, then again and again, etc.

The goal here is to cover basically every want/need/desire/problem your prospect is experiencing in your autoresponder series and how the product can do away with it. It might be email 2 or 3 or 4 or 7 or 10 that does the trick. But hopefully along the way, there will be a message that hits your prospect right in the gut, forcing them to say "Wow, he's talking about ME!" Now when they go to the sales letter, they'll see your product in a completely different light--and the chances of them buying go up in a big way.

There's tons more involved, but that's a crude outline. Start with that and you should see some click thrus back to your sales page.

What I do is send them advice they can immediately apply, and remain them that if they buy my product, this advice or benefit will be easier to implement, every email I send them remains them that

MBlount, I'm giving your first official THANKS on the WF. You are getting this because you shared your sincere appreciation with the group.

I also did it so you can learn about the cool little THANKS button at the bottom of the posts you find helpful. Make sure you use it when you feel so inspired in any thread. By thanking Warriors you find helpful, you will help other newbies to the forum more easily identify people who provide high quality posts on a regular basis.

Welcome aboard...You asked a great question!

Offer something free just to fill in a report a video something useful about what their looking for and you can also do a subliminal plug of what you're reall trying to sell. Tell them it'll come in their email but with the email that has the "free" whatever, promise them something else in the next one. Again something useful. Give thema reason to keep opening your emails and ideally they'll be reading you messages too and get the point that what you've got will help them. However, maybe you're not doing anything wrong...there's a reason why autoresponder messages come in a sequence of 20 or 30. General rule, if they haven't opted out, you still have a chance!
