Not everyone sells their information all the time.

I know I've been saying it for years, but I keep seeing it even more recently.

People sharing decent information and getting responses that say "you could've sold this as a WSO".

Yes - WSOs are a great way to make money sharing information with members, but the mentality of "if this is good information then I should sell it" is going too far..... (IMHO)

There is a LOT of great information being shared for free in this forum. You don't need to buy a wso to find it and if you have something to say that others will probably find interesting - that doesn't qualify it as something you should sell.

Maybe I'm wrong and I should be selling the information I've shared here in many thousands of posts.

    Andy,

Totally agree with you. Not only does it help build your credibility and reputation here on the forum but it will also make people want to buy from you even more (IMO..).

Thanks for bringing this up, definitely something we all need to be reminded of sometimes.

Yea...now every guy that is making a 3 page report is going to sell it as a WSO.But it's more good now , that the price for a WSO thread had increased because, that junk wso's will dissapear(I hope)

I agree with you. It's up to people whether they want to share for free or charge for the info, which is fine, but sharing with others for free can be a fantastic way to build relationships, help others and give back to the community. And it works both ways too: although a lot of WSOs are great, a lot of people hold back in their information that they charge for.

  • Yeah, I find it really rude that people constantly accuse someone of having a coming WSO if they lay down a bunch of value in a thread. People, if you think no one is going to post valuable info unless they are making it up or setting the chokers for a WSO, why do you even bother coming here? Or why do you bother reading anything besides the WSO forum? Doesn't really make sense to me.

If people lay down value, take it or leave it, but the more they get accused of having ulterior motives, the less they are going to want to give.

The other thing is that - just because YOU think it's "new" doesn't make it so.

I've lost track of the number of WSOs I've bought that said they were sharing a "new" "secret" only to find it's something I already said more about in the open forum than is in their product.

It's really annoying to see people selling information that's been openly shared by others already - in the very same forum that the same information is free to anyone who cares to look for it.

I don't buy product WSOs any more because of this and this trend of "I have something to say - therefore I must run a wso" means that even more new members end up paying for information which other members have already shared for free.

I see a lot of IM products hitting my inbox that are charging for the same information I've shared here and I just know there will be WF members buying it thinking it's "new" like the sales letter says.

Andy, you struck a chord with me on this issue. And I would add, just because you believe you have something to say, doesn't mean that you need to rush and start a new thread; learn how to use the WF search function please!

We get a constant stream of individuals posting threads about what they CLAIM is new, has never been heard before, is an advanced method, or a little known trick THEY created, found or worked on and honed for the past fifteen and a half years.

But then... another WF member takes all of three seconds to perform a search on the subject and turns out the person is posting rehashed material that has been discussed, dissected and debated here on the WF en masse.

One has to ask, "Is the Search Function temporarily or permanently disabled on certain WF member's computers?"

Maybe Allen or Paul or one of the other MODS can clarify that issue.

Maybe they don't use the "Search Function" because they actually don't have access.

One day, God should also start thinking of selling air and other good things of life that we have been getting and are still getting free of charge.

    Andy, what a great post!

Andy, are you saying my upcoming WSO "How to Tie Your Shoes" should just be given away for free in the off topic forum?

Good Lord, who's going to pay for this pallet load of Crayolas I was going to give away as bonus material.

Bill, do you have a review copy available? Do I need anything more that a pair of shoes and a pair of shoelaces? What if my old shoes were slip ons?
And last but not least, are the crayons color coded?
