HI Warriors,

Anyone here making money with minisites?
I have a few questions for you:

1.Does google deindex minisites and did you ever get deindexed?
2.How many pages does your minisite contain and is it ok to have 2 pages only?
3.How long does your minisite take to reach the first page on google?

Thanks in advance

Josh.

    hey Josh...

I have a friend that builds basically a one page mini site. He adds a contact page and an about me page (which I don't count). I haven't heard if he has been de-indexed.

I usually put 4-5 pages on my mini sites, but that is just me. Gives me a chance for more more traffic.

As far as rankings, that's hard to predict. It depends on your niche and how competitive it is for your keywords.

    Hi Josh,

I would suggest to use wordpress as a platform for all your minisites. You can even create sub-pages within wordpress and use this platform to post valuable contents on the blogs. The reason is because blogs can get indexed easily and it is SEO friendly.

    Hope it helps...

    Raymond

I have never had any of mine de-indexed

I use a wordpress platform, with seo plugin...all optimized for ONE specific keyword.

    I Always include the following:
    - Home page with pre sell above the fold, and TWO articles below this targeting LSI keywords
    - About me page
    - Privacy Policy page
    - Contact me page
    - Additional Article page - just two or three additional articles, maybe a video

I use SeNuke and run a social bookmarking campaign which normally gets me indexed within a day or two. I then use senuke to slowly build backlinks to my page, and i use scrapebox to blast the web 2.0 pages that are linking to my site. All the web2.0 urls that are linking to my site, are added to an rss feed, which i then submit to rss agregators using senuke...then i run a social bookmarking campaign on the rss aggregators urls..this is to get all my backlinks noticed by the search engines.

All this is done over a about a three month period, but in most cases the site ranks top 10 within a month.

Remember though...creating too many spammy links to your site too quickly can cause your site to be sandboxed by google...or worse de-indexed entirely and your ip address banned

    Hey Josh,

There's lots of products sold around here based on the minisite model. The xfactor had a product like that. There are also several amazon courses floating around now that teach it too.

As for getting deindexed, yes I'm sure some of them do. I have a team building them and dont really do any of it myself, but ours havent had any problems with that as the sites still end up with about 30 pages on them. They are still minisites in my mind though as the goal isnt really to create an authority type site. I would be careful making a bunch of 2 pagers as those would probably run into problems at some point. Maybe it would never happen, but I dont think it is googles preference to have a bunch of 2 page sites on the first page of the serps.

The time is relative to the competition. But, like I said, I dont watch this closely as it is just a long term passive strategy that I put on auto pilot about a year ago... I dont consider myself a huge amazon affiliate like a lot of people here (so take all this with a grain of salt)... But I did look into it for a bit before i put the team on it. I do believe that using wordpress helps with the google issues as well - for several reasons.

The also called "niche blogs" works if you do the things correctly. You need to do carefully the niche research, keyword research. If you fail on these 2 steps, your site will fail.

For this I use Market Samurai, and also I see who are my competitors and dates about them. Another important thing is to have many related backlinks. You can beat your competitors if you have many related backlinks.

And I didn't heard somebody crying because Google de-indexed his sites. But you can host your sites separately, this will lower the chances to get de-indexed.!

    All the best,

They do work well on different systems. I have some in Wordpress and some in static html... All of them have a nice keyword domain. With the wordpress sites I have about 90% in google`s Top10 and the html sites 100%.

The most important is to do they keyword research well and build your backlinks slowly. For backlinks I use mainly article directories, bookmarks and some forum posts, which were suggested by google alerts.

If your putting adsense on a mini site, you better have a privacy policy as one of the pages. Without one you violating googles TOS and will most likely lose your adsense account

I have used mini sites to make a fortune... literally.

Once you get the hang of building niche sites for low competition keywords you can build UP. Most people build out with more sites but you can eventually just spread yourself very thin. Once you understand how to get mini sites to rank high then use that knowledge and traffic for your own authority sites and your own products.

    Some things I have noticed...
Have at least 5 pages. Include privacy policy if using adsense. Don't make the site look like it is a cookie cutter site that is just targeting a keyword. Google is getting sick of these sites and they do remove them via manual reviews but adsense sites seem more likely to get reviewed for this. Make your site look half decent and somewhat unique/valuable.

1.Does google deindex minisites and did you ever get deindexed?
    >> No! never. I have multiple minisites ranking on top 1-5 since 2+ years.

2.How many pages does your minisite contain and is it ok to have 2 pages only?
    >> Some have 5 and some have 500+ with mostly articles... But I would suggest you to build as much as you can or at least 20+ original copyscape passed content and also check your competition.

3.How long does your minisite take to reach the first page on google?
    >> Just a few days to months. It depends on niche you are going after and there are many SEO factors that comes into play. Just analyze your competitors site with various tools found currently online.

    Yes and yes.

This is usually a more or less manual process where a site comes up for visual review for one reason or another. If your site looks like other typical thin "Made For Adsense/Affiliate" sites it will probably be deindexed. If it doesn't look the part, then it's generally OK. These reviews are generally less than 30 seconds in length and only involve a quick view of the index page to see if it matches one of the patterns reviewers are trained to look for.

Another reason that a deindex might occur is a site using a script that Google has flagged as being a thin affiliate script. These would include things like YACG and BANS as well as some lesser known scripts. Sites using these scripts were the ones I had deindexed so I don't use these scripts or ones that are similar to them any longer.

If you avoid questionable scripts and avoid using the same template that everyone else is using you'll be fine.

2 is OK but you'll improve your earnings and traffic if you have more pages.

It depends on a large number of factors such as the number and quality of incoming links, the relevance of the content to search terms, the competition of the niche and other things.
