Flippa - Would like some input on selling this website

Hey guys. I have recently finished my latest website:

http://www.weightlosstelly.com

and I think I would like to sell it on flippa. I was originally going to use it but I really like to create these sites rather than market them and seo and everything. I found it much more fun and enjoyable to just create the site and get it up and running.

I would just like to know though if you think it will be able to sell on flippa. I took a look around on flippa and I personally think it would because it is a change from all of the autoblogs on there and is a different type of site for people to use.

Anyway just looking for some flippa selling feedback. How much do you sellers think it could go for? Would it be better to do an auction or just have a but it now price of something like $150. Thanks for the help again

In that low price range, you could probably sell it on Flippa. It has no traffic or revenue, but it's kind of unique. Not sure how much Google love and position in serps it will get being all YouTube videos and no text. Getting traffic will be crucial.

Your site will definitely sell in Flippa. The question is, how much will it sell for. I know this will sound a bit scary for you but it's the best way list it . Start @ $1 with NO RESERVE ( and make sure you put that in the title of your auction).

Ideal duration is no longer than 5 days....then come back here @ Warrior and annouce you have an auction @ Flippa that only starts for $1 - no reserve-. Your other objective here is to get as much bids as you can because then, your listing can appear in the front page of Flippa's "most active" auctions. This is another way to get that much added exposure without having to pay extra to be in the first page.

    I hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. Should I also put a buy it now price on it? Also where should I announce the listing here on the warrior forum, in the websites for sale section?

      Thanks

I would list it in the Websites For Sale section because that is where people are looking to buy sites so you can get some extra traffic on it.

I think though, the Flippa rules are that you cannot advertise your site anywhere but Flippa so you would have to describe the site and then send them to your Flippa link to buy it - you probably already planned on doing that but just wanted to mention it!

        Good luck!

I wouldn't suggest putting a BIN until the last day...it can be a turn-off for some people wanting to bid....unless they PM you..not in the open though...

Warrior has classified ads where you can announce you auction...try other forums too if you can eg digitalforum, namepros, dnforum....the more exposure you can get, the better for your auction....

btw, since ur thanking me, 'would appreciate if you can click the "thanks" button..'hope that's not too much to ask

Will be hard to sell it if it has no traffic and no revenue. But I have an idea for you.Why don't you try to get traffic to it and put some google adsense on it. If you will have traffic and earnings( even little earnings) your site will sell for sure. I saw that Flippa users, love adsense sites!

    All the best,

it's only $1 - NO RESERVE..... ask yourself this, is the site worth $1 at least? IF your answer is "yes"....then it won't be that hard to sell it.... I've seen many Flippa auctions sell profitably ( and in eBay as well) using this technique...

        Hi,

If you think that it is unique website then I suggest you not to sell it in hurry. If you can get some traffic and some profit then you can get lot much better value. If you want to make more money theny gather traffic data (Google analytics), Sell data (Clickbank, Cj proofs) etc. You can also create a short video praising plus pointes of your website, believe me it will benifite you more and more. Other members have already given you the valuable tips.

Man, it's not about if it's worth 1$ or not...it's about to get a nice pay for the site. I didn't saw sites with no earnings and traffic selling for more than 150$. But if you have nice traffic, and like 40$ per month on adsese, you can sell it for over 600$!

        Think on this!

LOL u missed my point. man! That's exactly how you sell a site for $150, which is what the thread starter wanted. If he wants more ( $600 like what u state), then he'll need to build some traffic and income. as before... Start @ $1 with no reseve. If you doubt this, observe Flippa auction sites that have the same caliber as his ( 3 months at least so you have a more concrete data).... $90-$150 is just about the the average price of starter sites. ( not crappy sites though).

Yea...you are right, if someone wants to sell a site fast, then he will sell it like you told. But, if you want to make more money, keep the site 2-3 months build traffic and revenue, and you will sell it for 7-8x the price!

Or you can be a site flipper, making site after site and selling them for 100-150$ and you can get a nice income!

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to watch my analytics and adsense stats closely for a couple days to get some good stats to put on the sales page on flippa. I would like to get at least $150 for the site and by what you guys have been saying so far it seems like I should be able to accomplish this hopefully. Thanks for all the help everyone, very much appreciated

Thanks guys. I really enjoyed this building this site so, personally, I would rather build the sites and sell them as it interests me more and is more enjoyable than actually promoting the site and doing the SEO and everything.

I'd also like to note too that the site also has a mobile optimized version as well so that people that may visit the site from their phone will be redirected to a mobile optimized version instead. Just thought I'd mention that in case it would help increase profits. I personally think that having a mobile optimized version as well is a good selling point What do you think?
