Why Clickbank Vendors Don't Have Autoresponder Messages for their Affiliates?

Here's one thing I noticed since I started promoting CB products:

Most CB Vendors don't offer autoresponder messages for their affiliate's use.
Most of them only offer broadcast type of email or none at all.
Isn't it much more helpful if they offered an email series that affiliates can simply plugin in to their system?

    I would think so.

On the other hand, that's mainly an affiliate perk. Once someone has bought their product, that's pretty much the end for them.

But they do exist. I'm promoting a CB product right now that came with email messages, articles to post, 2 free reports, free video, free podcasts, images, headers, footers, etc. The whole works.

So...just got wade thru the pool to find the gold.

It will be very helpful if the vendor prepare all of it, but I think having our own email messages are better.

I can't imagine when people sign up to two affiliates list which are promoting same products and receiving exactly the same follow up emails

I've discovered a few products on there that have autoresponder emails to use but more often than not I end up using my own because they are too hype filled. I agree with you that it is a valuable resource for affiliates but the 'sell, sell, sell' tone that they project turns me off and I'm sure to those that I would be sending it to as well. My solution is to take ideas from the emails they provide (if they have any) and then craft my own.

Agree. I'm currently working on an email series for my affiliates and I'm not over hyping the offer. You want to "sell the click" but not in such a way that it comes across as spam.

While I do have one to supply to affiliates, I don't have it available in my affiliate center. If I get emailed with a request, I will supply it but I highly recommend they rewrite the content to make it unique with their own twist.

I guess if need help with them, you could always opt-in to their list yourself and get the emails and use it as a springboard to write your own.

    Two things to note:

    1) Many CB affiliates don't use or have lists to promote CB products- they promote via other means such as PPC and organic search.

    2) Email swipes are not always necessary in an affiliate's promotional arsenal. Some people get pissed when they get the same email 20 times in the same day, and rightfully so. Why not write your own email copy? That way, you can really personalize it. It also diminishes your chances of screwing something up such as the link or the subscriber's name (e.g. "Hello [firstname]!").

I'm not saying that email swipes are bad...it's just that sometimes, a simple personalized message written by you will outperform copy from a world-class copywriter given the right circumstances.

Basically, it's nice to have the option to use them, but it's not such a bad thing if they're not there.

    That's from an affiliate's perspective.

From a vendor's perspective, I think it's best to give your affiliates that option.

I believe one of my former autoresponder copywriting students, Anita Ashland, used to write messages for some of the more popular CB products and sell them as packages. But I'm not sure if she's still doing that now.

If you want to be directed to a website featuring autoresponder copywriters who have been trained in writing relationship building, story-based emails, then PM me. Every time I post it on here I get flamed by the mods (even though I get no commission whatsoever for the referral).

We do - shameless self promotion:

    Affiliate Articles & Email Marketing

I think it's crazy that others don't offer email varieties though. Our best affiliates are our email marketing ones, so weve made pretty much all our core emails available to affiliates, and the list is ever growing.

It seems only a few articles and a selection of banners are offered by most (except the top level IM guys), I hope people really start catching on to email marketing sooner or later... or maybe when they do that is when people will get over emailed and we will need to look for the next big way to promote.

But right now, imo, there is no better way to market - stop focusing on getting a click straight to the vendor, make your focus to get people to join your newsletter, that way you keep them for life, and can warm them up, and send them information on various offers into the future.
