Newbie Keyword Density Question

Hi, I am working on getting content in my niche written, and I see that 2% seems to be a common number thrown around out there. My question is, does this apply only to the main keywords that I am shooting for? For example, if I put "weight loss" into my articles at 2%, can I also add "liver detox" or "detox diet" or will that be overloading?

    My reply: write naturally.

2%, 3%, etc you will never know what Google's specific criteria is.

Have the keyword in your url, title, description, headings, image alt tags, sprinkle it naturally on your site and MOST IMPORTANT in the links pointing back to you page.

Google is not looking for keyword density the way they looked before. Its history.

Use LSI keywords together with your main keyword. Use Google Wonder Wheel to get keyword ideas and just write naturally like you do.

Lets say your keyword is long tail keyword. "how to train your dog not to dig holes". And your article is 300 words. You really think, that your article will look natural with 2% density? Im sure it will look really really weird.

When posting articles, I don't even try and keep up with keyword ratio. I write naturally and if I am on-target and relevant to the keyword(s), I end up with a decent sprinkling of keyword phrases naturally. I have actually been warned on article sites when I wasn't trying to stuff.
