Newbie? How to build a list fast?

Hey everyone,

I am a newbie and I need to build a list. I've read previous posts on the same topic but not on how long it takes to build one. I am already working
on some things to get it going. I just wondered if anyone could give me a timeframe that I should be expecting to get at least 300-500?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Samantha

Can't really give a time frame on something like list building because it fully depends on you. There are lots of factors such as what niche you are in and how much promotion you are doing.

My advice would be to look at how you are doing now, and tweak things a bit, you can probably get a time frame from that.

      Daniel,

Thank you for your reply. My niche is in the health sector. I've been reading alot of posts on this topic and using just about everyones advice. For the most part its working. Just wondered if there was a specific timeframe that I should be looking at.

      thanks again,

      Sam

How long it takes all depends on what methods you are using and how much traffic you will be getting. There is no exact answer for that question. You would have to give us the methods you are already using to even get an idea of how long it would take. The best thing is to just take action and do what you have already learned, how long it takes does not matter.

Just getting the list built is the key, having any list is better than hearing it will take too long and not taking any action because it's not worth it, as a lot of people do.

There are too many variables involved to be able to give
      you even an approximate answer.

For example, your skill set, target market and the strength
of your offer will greatly affect the speed at which you
      get your first 300-500 subscribers.

      One thing's for sure though...

You'll get your first 300-500 subscribers much sooner if
you swing into a heavy action plan right now instead of
debating the issue on a forum.

      Dedicated to your success,

        Thanks Shaun,

I've only been at this for a week, however I haven't stopped moving since. I'm devoting myself full time to this. I'll keep everyone updated and I'm sure I'll have
more questions in the near future. You guys are great!

        Thanks again,

        Sam

      Thanks Chad,

I know it takes time to build and I'm definitley not going to stop just because it may take a while.

      Thanks again,

If you had a budget, and a little bit of 'marketing savvy' you could easily build a 300 person list in 24-48 hours on autopilot using a mobile ppc network like admob- but the less you know- the more it's going to cost you.

What would you more experienced ones say would be the best method to list build. Using articles, writing blogs or what?

One way to build a really responsive list would be to use WSO Pro when you run low-priced (or free) WSOs right here. You could run a low priced offer for a short report and use WSO Pro's integration with Aweber to get your buyers to automatically opt in to your list. A list of buyers who pulled out their credit card (even for a cheap report) is far more valuable than any free opt in!
